Bilsteins are the shit, but unless you plan on some seriously hard cornering they won't do much for you.

I heard that pedders are just monroe shocks with cheaper components and fancy packaging.. I run shortened monroes in the front and pedders in the rear.. , my falcon has pedders all round, (but I wanted KYb's)

I've had Bilsteins on two cars that were important to me and they would be my first choice any time.

First car was my rally Escort MK1 and I'm sure they saved my butt more than once. Plus they weren't new when I got them and they still tested perfect when I sold it.

Second car was a Range Rover that I put new Bilsteins on and they were still good after 15yrs including offroad work. The Rangie was also known to see off quite a few cars on the road.

So they would be no1 by my book but they don't seem to make them for Alfa 33s so the next best is Konis.

I run Bilstein's in the front of the Sud.... I think I paid $400 for the pair, plus the struts were modified as the shocks are a short stroke Subaru item...

In the rear I have a set of Spax shocks, which are compression and rebound adjustable, which arrived from the UK with adjustable Spax front inserts, (which bit the dust after an argument with a fucking massive pothole) and progressive springs for a total of $750NZD.
