Guest WESTCORT Posted October 29, 2004 Share Posted October 29, 2004 yeah so im trying to do this but having a few problems! i have a black wire, red, green and white wires i earthed black, put green to positive side of coil, put white to red wire on ignition coil, and red wire to yellow wire on ignition coil. but this is what happens, the tacho is lit up all the time instead of when i turn the ignition on, and i dont get any reading of the rev's until i turn off my engine and it goes to accesories, then it will move up but thats no good cause my engine is now off.... help and / or pictures would be much appreciated Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guest WESTCORT Posted October 29, 2004 Share Posted October 29, 2004 it idles at close to 800, but the 1300 has usable power up to 5800 according to the haynes manual and i find it difficult to rev it that high without holding my nuts incase it blows up, getting to 4500 is enough of a fucking mish, so either it under reads the further it gets up the rev range or im just a pussy and need to go for a rally and yeah its 4 on the switch not 6 or 8 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
