Guest Testament
its its really obvious they are different to standard? or would he have to know what the standard ones looked like to know they are different? It doesn't really help but I think you would be very unlucky to get pulled up on that.
Guest cletus
i wouldnt worry about it too much if the new saddles look like they could be factory. you can buy aftermarket swaybar links for things like commodores which have silly factory ones and they are not an issue
Guest Styles
Cheers, they're a pretty ordinary saddle, just a little larger, that's all. Sounds like it'll be sweet, as long as I don't come across some total nazi. Cheers!
Guest k-trips
Clint - 2 piece driveshafts - ala my Commy - 2 driveshaft loops required?
Guest cletus
Yes, you will need 2. going to a single piece shaft doesnt really work either as far as a means to do just 1, floor rubbage will ensue.
Guest k-trips
Nah I'm sticking with 2 piece driveshaft - will need 2 loops - I can obviously get away with a smaller loop on the front half about half way along you reckon? How far back does the rear one need to go?
Guest cletus
front one=no more than 150 mm back from the front uj middle one= no more than 150 mm behind that cv in the middle of the shaft

Guest durty
My car from factory has shitty park lights (little 5w things) keep failing wof on them not being bright enough. have run dedicated cables to them from battery and they dont go any brighter, cant get a bulb that fits in the holder that is any higher wattage. Is there anything in the rules stopping me from just hooking the headlights or foglights up to the park light switch instead and saying they are my parklights? Tried reading the VIRm but cant figure out where park lights are covered

Are they a wedge type bulb or bayonet? If they're wedge, you could get an LED replacement which are about 50x brighter.

Anyway went for wof with them hooked up to the headlights instead and failed on it but when I questioned the guy about it he had a look through the book and changed it to a pass
Guest Hachi-ichi
Anyone care to help me out with Negative camber restrictions? What am I able to work with on top of Factory setting. Also what is the leniency on this subject. ( as in lets say im a wee bit out from the limit, visually not noticable )
Guest cletus
half a degree over the maximum manufacturers spec is the limit. only exceptions are vehicles under the authority card deal (competition vehicles) and vw beetles.
Guest e30-323ti
....and vw beetles. Is that in jest or serious? If so why? *curious*
Guest k-trips
only exceptions are vehicles under the authority card deal (competition vehicles) and vw beetles. How do they determine the exceptions? Things like Heralds and anything with a de-dion tube rear end will vary more than half a degree when you put your portly mum-in-law in the back seat...edit - beaten
Guest datto_610
Same with Datsun IRS, Iv'e had to make my rear end camber and toe adjustable so just it's legal at the height I want it...
