Interesting point there^ I'll most likely bring this as a support vehicle is 4wd.. Am thinking on bringing some basic tools, first aid kit, salvage ropes/strops, petrol can, and water too.. -

I'll tow yours please.. is it standard flat 7 pin plug? Does it have a reasonable length of cable (wondering if i need to bring an extension or not). Cheers -

When i booked on the 7th Aug at Awakino Hotel all they said they had left was the caravan so i said sweet that'll do.. Alexander Motel Taumaranui was no problems. Where do we meet on the Friday morning? -
This may or may not help you but look at the diagrams on the first page here: https://www.ausrotary.com/viewtopic.php?t=33676 I used one of them when i did my rx2.. Bottom line is B+ post to battery+, Sensor to battery+, and Light to charge indicator and ignition (through relay). And two 6amp diodes on light circuit to stop power flow out.

I am exited to offer myself and support vehicle (either 97 v8 disco or 21 mahindra pikup) for the trip if suitable? Please let me know if i'm acceptable and i will go ahead and book and fill out form.. -
Hi, could someone please tell me if a hood/head lining is required for a wof? Reason i ask is i need to fix the leaking sunroofs in a s1 Disco and at the very least i need to lower the lining, but i'm thinking of removing it as it's a bit rough anyway.. thanks

^ yes phosphoric acid needs to be washed off with water or meths before it dries
-
Anecdotal story here; i had an rx2 a while back that had an og copper brass oil cooler in it.. anyway i put an aluminium one in just to try, and the water temp (ie engine temp) rose. I put the brass one back on and back to normal.
-
Try getting a big ass OEM one from something you know will work? Yes the last copper brass rad i bought out of oz (via trademe) was 1100$
-
All that mucking around you should just get a big brass and copper radiator. They work so much better.

I thought 6 and 12 o'clock movement was wheel bearings. -
On my rx2 it was a different gearbox (s1 rx7) that fucked it up. You can get different speedo drive gears for the s1 box (they are different colours). Bumpstart on ausrotary has a tech thread on it.

What's your experience been with non-rubber bushings, like the one's you've fitted to your lower wishbones etc.? My experience with that type of bushing is they don't last. I had some nolathanes dry rot and fall to bits in my xr8. I'm pretty sure all the oem rubber bushings are still available. -
Atom Fasteners have come through for me in the past.
