Good jerb!

Nice, an old flat I lived in had one of these that a few of us used to hoon around on. Was good fun and handled pretty well, was in a rougher state than yours. I think these have cam gears too from memory.

Sorted now but appreciate the offer!

Hi peeps I'm wanting to buy a couple old bar heaters off TradeMe to put in my garage but they are pick up only in Hastings, anyone keen to help out? I asked the dude where pick up was and he said Hastings. I haven't bought them yet so nothing committed, just thought I'd throw it out there. Cheers Jeremy

Always keen 150cc sounds fun, I assume it'll have some good stretch

Those pics look like they were taken at one of the Welly meets a couple years ago. Is this the same car?

Ahh ok, might leave stock for now, if you are ever in town though and want some holiday money

I have also peeled off all the decals recently, a couple were a bit tatty so took em off, it could do with a repaint too but cbf I have shelved my high speed variator testing for the moment, it struggles too much up hills so have chucked the stocker back in as I want to be able to ride it. It hauled on the flat but would struggle to get past 30kph uphill, had 6.5g rollers in it and an unknown red contra spring, maybe a stiffer spring would help hold it in a lower gear ratio for longer and maybe some lighter rollers? You can see my sweet grinder and wrist-lathe work so it would clear the starter ring gear

I picked up some spares for the Beat today, Buckets n Bits is having another clearout on TM, scored all these for 30 pingas Didn't need any of it of course but 30 bucks!

I used some from Bunnings, can't remember the name but still have the can in the shed, will dig it out. UV resistant is a good idea, my wheel wasn't even wood

I had mine done at The Tyre Clinic on Fifeshire Ave a couple years ago They had trouble with the 205 onto 9" but persevered and got the job done. Somewhere like Mag and Tyre Direct in Petone look like they are pretty handy with stretch going by their internet pics

Yeah, older model, is this shape Glad I have it working again, has been so nice to use. All the literature talks about the batteries being non-serviceable and you have to buy the screen unit as a whole to rectify but once I pulled the batteries out they were just regular Panasonic alkaline button cells, the only thing making them non serviceable was that they had soldered the batteries to the board. My fix looks a bit B is for Build but it saves me $400

I have a solar charging helmet but after 6 years it wasn't staying dark even after leaving it in direct sunlight, again non-replaceable batteries. So I popped it open, desoldered the batteries and wired in some button cell holders that I hot glued to the inside of the helmet so now I can replace them, helmet works like a champ again.

If I was to switch from sidedraughts to efi it would be mostly for fuel efficiency, the extra 10hp would be gravy

I assume the plastic gear linkage bushes have worn then fallen out. Looking sharp after the clean up!
