  1. Generally the XJ40 was called the Sovereign, not XJ-6 as stated.. I see you discovered the sphere... Hope the fluid has been changed recently, if not do so. Don't mean to scare you but XJ40 brakes are so much gayness once corrosion has set in
  2. No one has asked the important questions yet, 4 liter or 3.2? When shall we expect to see a supercharger attached?
  3. Yeah, 150 in a small frame, what zorst are ya running? I see you brought it off Matt brookes, is that a 10' conversion?
  4. So, so jealous, keen to come drool when it arrives.. Keep us updated, Hans Compter has a couple also including one of the real early ones in his collection.
  5. Yeah bout 25mm all up, re-position that rear muffler and trim mudflaps, shorter shocks are a must, these bottom out hard when lowered. Also try Parts Plus in Thorndon for all your consumables/OEM parts. Got most things at good prices
  6. If by look like Charlie Sheen, you mean have awesome hair and a massive cock, then yes.
  7. ^That, plus some torsion bar adjusters welded into the front beam for minor adjustment. win
  8. Yeah centre key, engine and box have their own sumps. Awesome car, I was the SAAB technician here in Welly for years and still work on a bunch. If you ever need bits or advice hit me up, great cars, turbo conversion is easy and worth it, standard tune always was a bit average. My Turbo B202 motored 9000 used to spin the front wheels on the motorway, not bad for an auto front drive Early 900's are the shit tho, have a manual coupe to pick up in the near future as a project.
  9. Gay, replacement and fit mechanical gauge. Win
  10. Def sender, it may leak a few drops at most, wind it out, clean inside and tap it on a bench. Usually enough to revive a sticking pressure switch
  11. Always use the correct tool for the job, save your knuckles and vital components. Hammer trick works okay on cast arms etc, although I have seen some horror story hits given to drop arms etc and you never know what may crack out of sight, especially with cast. Not a fan of smashing steering components with hammers. Fork works okay, but again only if you are replacing the components. I have the Repco ball joint splitter, works great, leave the nut on at the end of the thread if you are reusing the joint and tighten just till there's tension on and then give it a good shock with a hammer- 'shock' been the operative word, don't smash everything in sight and use the biggest hammer you can find. Word
  12. Try Bristol motors in Upper Hutt, they had a lot of NOS Vauxhall bits and will know where they've gone and where to go.
  13. I would not recommend nylon injection, also it is illegal now for good reason. Nothing more fun than having a ball pop out or fracture from a worn housing when you need it the most.. Have used hbi for some real oddball stuff, can totally recommend. Also you get what you pay for with things like this, fit grease and forget.
  14. AAAArrrrgh my eyes, please do the right thing and set fire to those 17's widened steels look bawse already tho, glad to see the Gayvenger is still wearing my curtain on the back parcel shelf Twin strombergs must make a difference, I have the original larger steering wheel here for ya, needs recovering but you are going to want to fit that.. Gutted that lil prick lost one of the side strips, they were all mint as
  15. best idea ever, solex + auto tuned motor is gotta suck
  16. definitely a case of soft valve spring/s. Check vacuum advance, most likely cause of flatspot, also if it's 1725 the Zenith 34IV is a shit of a carb and needs accurate float adjustment. Bin it, find a suitable weber
  17. did you use the same torque converter??
  18. this, or be the man and set idle to 500, do whilst running rule of 13 applies to some six cylinders also
  19. Fuck knows, I made it from 5.30 on FB, party law dictates that people will arrive at 7ish.. Going there now to make the place slightly less dangerous/filthy
