  1. Let's keep this thread on topic team, cheers!
  2. Meet is tonight, special guest apperance is on the cards from @fletch so it's worth turning up
  3. Hey campers @TimShadboltfan27 @Mitch.W etc, whats the guts with camping spots for the two main nights?
  4. This months CJC vs OS meet will be Thursday 29th July 7pm at the Cock and Bull (Maui St in Te Rapa)
  5. I was the ? haha. I clicked afterwards who you were (while I was waiting in line for a hot dog) so apologies for not saying hi, I just figured it was some random that knew geophy.
  6. Pretty keen to join the tent gang this time around. Booking accom is too much admin tbh
  7. What's going on here?
  8. Have you tried being an adult about it and asking the shop to please explain? Or is that beyond society today? /Rant
  9. It's a diesel, no dose lol. Already has straight pipe exhaust
  10. Almost snuck through not needing a brake fade test either! But looks like it has more than 20% power increase (only just though, 93 to 125hp).
  11. PS, this is actually me right now
  12. Just had a read of the relevant material you linked to. I like the changes they have made (not just because it means I don't need hoops) but appears sanity has prevailed in terms of two piece shafts where the bearing hanger can be considered a hoop. Well done team.
  13. Whaaaaaaaat! That's the best news I've heard in a long time. Thanks for chipping in xoxo
  14. @KKtrips Don't excite me like that. It doesn't put out 50% more power but I believe because it has a churbro added it meets the requirement for needing hoops (and the gloria never came out turbo, so can't make use of that loophole either). I'd love to be told otherwise though!
  15. This months details (which is this week).
  16. So good news is that it starts and drives like a champ (and sounds amazing because exhaust isn't hooked up properly). Bad news is the injector pump has a big leak (although I have a recently rebuilt one which I'll swap over) and somehow the windscreen is cracked. Pretty bummed about that tbh, can't imagine they are easy to find. So I'll swap the pump over and finish putting the front of the car back together. Should also work on a couple things for cert that I've been meaning to do (drive shaft loops, yay).
  17. Did a thing, it goes broom broom. Huge thanks to @GuyWithAviators and @Geophy. Still needs a fair bit of love but it runs and drives and makes all the right noises so that's progress
  18. And big thanks to young @Geophy for his help. That engine crane won't hold itself up mate
  19. Did a thing. Pulled the engine and gearbox out. Need to swap a few things over and then hopefully drop new motor on next weekend. Everything needs a bloody good clean as it's all yucky.
  20. Oh thanks team! Will sort something out next week with one of you lovely people
  21. Well well well. Not long after getting a wof as per previous post, I was an idiot and did a few too many grass skids on and something let go in the engine. Unfortunately this knock knock who's there wasn't a joke this time. So I did nothing for a few months pretending it would fix itself, which it didn't. Then eventually tracked down another rd28t engine pulled (a runner pulled to make way for an rb30det) so snapped that up. Since then have been slowly pulling the car apart ready to pull the engine out and drop the other one in.
  22. Oh, hey team. I'm going to be in Wellington for a few days later this month and would be splendid to catch up with whomevers about. So evening of wednesday 16th June if anyone's free I'm keen to say hello/have a drink/have a feed. I'm CBD bound unless someone wants to offer a lift.
