  3. Hi! I dont know if you remember . Saturday morning a dude pining over your car on K road? It was me. Loced seeing your car in person! Stoked to see a Datto while on holiday in auckland. Also spotted a mustard 510 sedan too!
  4. Cheers! Ive actually got 3 lloyd 600 engines. Its mentioned to run two together. Once the Triumph pre unit gearbox is mounted where it needs to be there aint much room in the frame. Still gotta fit battery and oil tank in there Im impressed the changeability with parts. 40's Triumph rear wheel bolts in the 40's Royal Enfeild frame. It shouldnt take much to mount componetry. Gonna get a little tricky with primary chain to gearbox though. Really cant wait to fire it up. I now have alot more time for this now that ive sold two of my project Datsuns and im nearing completion on my 1200 wagon.
  5. I whipped me up a bench for this today at work. Sits the bike at a nice height. So sat the frame on the bench and sat the engine and cable tied it in place. Also triumph rear wheel bolted up. Will start mounting engine /gearbox real soon!
  6. Update! Me,nick, josh & don fitted up my CA18DET into my wagon this afternoon whilst a little drunk and dressed as pirates! It went in really well! Looks amazing and the engine bay doesnt look that bad either! So stoked to finally have it in the painted engine bay Ive also since sold my 260C coupe & 521 ute to other Datsun folk so i can focus more on my wagon. It appears to be working. Still got my Cub50 scooter and Lloyd 600 Bobber
  7. Loving the project bud! Its should do a hundy, A mate of mine has a Lifan 125 in his C50. It does 70kmhr wheelies and pulls 120km top end. He has had it for years now. No issues. Attends every scooter run in the region. On the last one i was struggling up a hill and he rode up beside me grabbed my arm and pulled me up to hundy k and let me go! Was awesome!
  8. Some updates. Painted Rez's Healing cruiser green. Also brought a Raleigh 20 from swap meet. put another seat and tubes a volia The 26" Raleigh is ageing nicely. 14. Just brought the last of the Blue paint for the wagon. a couple more hours on the sander and its ready for some paint
  15. So finally got this thing running today. Soooooo many issues rebuilding engine. Has bigger piston now. Not to self dont buy anything of ebay again. Had mates around today sorting out the carb tuning and clutch tweaking . Runs mean. Aint got 3rd gear which sucks. Keen for another bottom end thats good if anyone got one. Apart from that the riding stance is good. Get heaps of looks riding down the street. Stoked
  16. Dude! This is so rustic and sweet! Plans? One of our rumblers has stretched his frame 7 inches, Looks badass and low now. There looks to be quite the gathering of 70s stepthrus in wellington now. Maybe a meet somewhere in the future ? You gotta start a bike gang now its the right thing to do
  17. Wow! Im quite flatered by the response! Im planning on making the jig asap. In regards to Lloyd parts i got three engines so i should be sweet thanks
  18. Here is primer pics! Done the engine bay /Interior/ Underside of bonnet/Door jambs/Inside of tailgate Stoked. A little more sanding on the body then i can primer that then its just the two doors which have a bif of sanding to do. Hopefully prime the body next weekend then flick some colour in the jambs/inside.engine bay
  19. Here we go team. After a week of epic pining i have got this to show. The frame is a 1939 Triumph 5H, Ill be making a jig off this and modifying the centre bar behind the engine to suit the lloyd 600. And also new bungs and bracketry to take tank/guard/solo seat/g box The Engine is a 1955 Lloyd OHC 600. Air cooled. Hemi heads. Real trick bit of kit. Will run two carbs and a more modern cdi ignition unit. Rear wheels is a Triumph MK2 Sprung rear hub.Real trick bit of gear. About 2" of trvel within the hub. So even tho the frame is rigid ill still have a bit of comfort. The front wheel is a unknown triumph but sweet none theless Gearbox will be a Norton Commando separate unit that will have a primary chain running to the Motor via primary chain.Gotta save for one of these as they average from $600-1000 Then ill need to buy a Harley Davidson Springer/girder front end. The rest of it ill fabricate. Tank,Guard,Seat,Pegs,Levers. Hoping to have a flat black powdercoated frame, Chrome wheels, Polished engine. and Traditional Lace painted tank and guard.
