Thanks guys. I should probably check with the painter i want to do the final coat before i lay out any wedge on primer. That place in newtown sounds good. I'll check what type of primer the painter would be happy to paint over and see if i can get that with a student discount.

Can any of you wellingtonians (i hate that word) advise me on the best place to get some primer of reasonable quality and a reasonable price? I was hoping that someone knows a good place that they have dealt with before. Also, what "type" of primer should i get. 1k 2k etc? I'll be priming my whole car then getting a propper painter to do the top coats cos i really dont want to fuck those up.

Wellington is a really cool city. rent is brutal unless you live out of town a bit. im payin 450 for a 4bdrm and garage and its alot closer to town then other places i looked at. rule of thumb, further from city centre = better house and cheaper rent. Weather is not too bad either. You get used to it
