  3. you can put a bit of oil down the bores. Let it sit in there and run through for a while. Gently crank over by hand.

  16. Idea. I haven't dealt with sr20det's before, but do they have a diagnostics plug? Lots of jap cars i've worked on have a tach signal pin on them for service purposes. Might be able to take your signal from there if it has one? Just an idea though. I'm feeling the lubs, right back at you mike-e

  18. those small black boxes are relays, clicking means its working. if you unhook your horns for example by unplugging them, if you push the horn button you'll hear the relay clicking. pull the starter motor out and put 12v on it with a battery. its good fun
