  1. There was a mint condition yellow one of these in the deceased estate I got my Sachs rotary from. One of the grand children ended up with it, they are very cool scooters!
  2. If there are labels but only in japanese, download the google translate app on your phone. It gives you a translation from a photo.
  3. Yeah I thought it odd that it only does it on decel and realistically its not that loud. I can't feel it through the shifter or the floor. I am not unwilling to accept it might not be the gearbox at all
  4. Noted. The interesting thing is that the sound starts and stops like a switch is being flicked it doesn't taper off. I might see how my phone picks up the noise and if ok ill post a vid.
  5. Just ask repco to multisite a bottle up the slack cunts. Or get them to tell you which branch, call and pay via credit card and have them courier it to you. Fucking slack cunts at repco make the good ones look so bad
  6. Ha yeah this seems pretty decent, German built. I gave the engine mounts a test with a bar and they seem ok. They flex but return to rest nicely. I might have another look at work on the lifters
  7. Yeah I've had that thought, we also have b train length lifters at work. Just tried removing engine cover as it was apparent it had been touching but no dice.
  8. Yeah externally everything appears in order. The guibo or rubber donut is fine. I don't think these are subject to much stress in the 316. After another drive today I have a suspicion it could be due to engine twisting over under decel causing the motor to touch something ever so slightly. The engine is half under the firewall so plenty of chances to nip something.
  9. Hey not os but I believe the trans in my e46 316ti is the same as e30's and stuff. Manual getrag 5 speed. Everything works great shifts well etc. Problem its having though is in each gear there is a certain rev range on deceleration where a very noticeable grumble/whine comes from under the car. It sounds like front of the gearbox but the position of the box under the car vs the driver position its hard to say. The most noticeable time is decelerating in 5th any speed over 92kmh. Any application of throttle or going below that speed the noise goes away completely. It will do it in 4th 3rd and 2nd too but in more specific speed vs rev ranges. Not a peep during standard day to day driving. I am thinking input shaft bearing but not so certain. I jumped underneath and made sure its not mounts or driveshaft touching under movement. These cars have a foil heatshield and it appears that had been touching a bit at the diff end of ds but not the cause of my house. Help
  10. Jeepers this thing was scary at 60 something, must've been screaming to hit 93k
  11. Does your C52 have starter "ears" on both sides of the bellhousing? Most of my aw11's had a C52 in them and they were magic, even with a 7agte leaning on it. If it's a fwd box, there's detailed info on how to adapt the shifter to reverse direction to suit on the net.
  12. I'm not sure for brake dust but if tar/bitumen is present on wheels or around the bottom of your car, toluene is the bees knees.
  13. I remember that being a thing in high school with a friends ke70. That was some time ago now...
  14. Fuel pump and associated relay test ok? Oh and do a skid.
  15. I think there's a mini track thing just as you come into wainuiomata if you're feeling brave.
  16. These are cool, have you tried using the google translate on a smartphone? You can take a pic of the text, tell it you want russian to english and it should crank out a reasonable translation
  17. I''m honestly not sure if they have a pit or hoist facilities at all but maybe worth asking Seaview Truckwash Services.
  18. Solid effort, we did the same recently and compared then and now photos. Yours are much more impressive! It certainly provides good feelings and motivation.
  19. We can go after hours if you are gonna be cracking away after work.
  20. Doesn't look like a w40 very much but its been a while since i laid on one. Check your oil level hasn't gone up. Fuel pump could be pumping into the sump.
  21. Could have a yarn to barry/bazda on toyspeed. He sells kits and makes up adaptors. Haven't dealt with him personally but many people speak very highly of his knowledge and services.
  22. Can probably lend you the old man's one if you are in the area. whoops ironically he's using it on his austin currently.. sorry al.
