  7. Have a look at your local speedway wheel place , they should be making some very similar, Im pretty sure they're called "nascar D windows" If you dont have one, I know Elite wheels down here do them, and there's plenty of people that can vouch for their service & quality Cheers,Chris
  8. Fuck, took ages to find this thread Wheels would look , depending on your colour choice for the body, personally think the wheels should go with "solid" colours, and none to bright niether. Telepathic Stealing my idea cunt, twas meant to be my special idea, just hope everyone else doesnt copy. Where abouts are you getting the rims from? Oh and are the just "blanks" and then you get them drilled to your stud pattern? Cheers,Chris
  9. Fuck what were you thinking Might I ask what the intended purpose for it will be? (other than mobile home for rust & termites) (feels sorry for Seedy Al - going to be doing all the work) Cheers,Chris

  11. Seeing as none of these other useless munts have started a project discussion thread for you, I will Go on , write up the story about how you scored it and the epic old man driving stz.. Pics came out alright eh? To everyone else, yes it has only cost him $350 and it has reg & wof & no rust, runs well!! Cheers,Chris
  12. If I were you, I'd go and build a 302 up, they are great motors and extremely rev happy (due to the short stroke), will still put out more than enough power to satisfy your needs. Cheers,Chris NB: Those power figures are from Stock Motors, so with a little or alot of work those figures can go upwards rather quickly.
  13. http://www.vord.net/mgparts/albums/engi ... .sized.jpg SU carb Zeniths and Strombergs are also the same style, they are a "slide" type carby , at least I think thats the name for them. Commonly found on British cars 60's to late 70's, triumphs, Mini's, Vauxhalls etc etc. Cheers,Chris
  14. Love the colour, looks really nice indeed Cheers,Chris
  15. Shit they look really really good in there! Cheers,Chris
  16. You skinned the bonnet and boot ? Oh yea, do you also have polycarbonate windows (lexan) around it, they save alot of weight and are super strong (can bounce sledge hammers off them) From memory arent you allowed to replace the guards & bonnets with F/glass items so long as the weigh a certain amount? 780kgs is a pretty good effort, you just use a hole saw for most of those holes you've drilled? & A Drill bit for the smaller ones (hinges etc etc) Ooo And finally what type of seat you using, Kirkey's are alloy, damn strong and lightweight (pretty damn comfy too) Cheers,Chris
  17. Sorry to be a bit o/t here but theres this guy on trademe (well think its an actual business, I've forgotten the name of the place) that makes kitset ones, all you need to do it weld them in , does 1/2 cages & full cages for alot of cars.. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Members/Listin ... ber=956037 Oh yea, Cortina is looking lovely, just out of interist how much weight have you saved, have you been weighing it before & after? Or even just the likes of the metal scraps that you've cut out... Cheers,Chris
  18. The ones I've had havent banged, so maybe it was just worn rubbers? Cheers,Chris
  19. "the forum" Cheers,Chris Or just search Piazza on Tardme
  20. Ya ^^, If you ever see a Piazza, Gem or Chevette "Launching" you'll notice that the rear doesnt squat down like other cars, it raises, as the diff is pushed down and the torque tube holds tight causing the body to lift.. You should get that piazza boe! Must show you the Pictures/video and the Celica next time your around.. Cheers,Chris
  21. Also , if you get a really bad vibration, get that the tire doesnt have any flat spots, noticible at certain kms, but not at others. Cheers,Chris
  22. Good shit man, btw if you havent noticed, Prozac & I have a wee collection of GM/T's at his place, so if you need some chevette parts we've most likely got something for you... (maybe even a front bumper ) Needs more vids of it screaming along.. I couldnt work out or not, you swapped the Diff with the manta one ?, cause for ages you said you would just wait, but then I see you thanking someone about it.. Cheers,Chris
  23. Quite cool, Just wondering why you went with the sc14 over the sc12, or did you put a smaller pulley onto the sc14 to get it to pump out more? More pics of supercharger & plumping a must! Cheers,Chris
  24. Awesome, This didnt happen to be on Trademe awhile ago (think it was standard engine back then?) Cheers,Chris
