  7. putting a good 4+ hours each night makes sweet progress. gun metal colour inside cabin will be just gotta do front seat area and tunnel jesus, someone really should told me to stop,
  8. I don't think that would be sweet aye. It would be hard to come up with a better plan without having the engine and bay in front of me though. What you are suggesting would create a pivot point on the xmember and uneven loading on the bolts and mounting points, rather than the normal load conditions. That is if I understand the way you are thinking of mounting it. I think you would be far better to try and mount to the chassis rails if possible and if not perhaps try and modify the way the mounts bolt to the engine block itself, rather than the xmember. I was thinking uneven load all stress will be on the bolts as well. The picture seems to show a bit more extreme mounting, 4-5 inchs max. I couldn't think of another way without new crossmember or mounted to engine as well. I just print this page off and when comes cert time will show them this "na its alright the Internet told me"
  9. on the same note, if i wanted to mount my engine back closer to the firewall could i just wled across some new mounts back from the crossmember? second picture would just be box section welded across and mounts welded onto that. I think not a its not supported by anything/i don't no much on welding/anything.
  10. the back firing, starting then dying, no power would all indicate some form of vacuum leak. Have you checked your plug after a run to see what they look like?
  11. criz = crown, lol so mean, howd you happen to find this?

  17. put a lil oil on it if you dont got any copper coat and try gently turn it and see if you can catch the threaded again. If it came to running a tap through would putting grease on it be safe enough to prevent metal flakes falling in?
  18. remove the blocks from the low side and it should even it out or buy 1 more block and add it to the high side = win

  21. wtf iv said it in like 3 threads already
  22. maybe triumphs run filters which sit in place and and a centre bolt holds them on? if so you have to hold filter and not let it turn whilst doing up bolt as this will twist seal and damge/etc it
