The viscous fans are screwed onto the water pump, the bolts you removed dont need to be. At the back of the fan you should see a big nut? Hold onto that then stop the waterpump pulley from turning and then unwind the whole viscous assy. Should be Left hand thread I think, unwinds the same direction it spins.

Hi, Sounds to me not to be your engine at all, If you had a big end knock it would be there all the time. You'd hear it badly if you had it and reved the engine it would have a clattering noise, could be something like a driveshaft universal worn casuing the noise? Or other suspension related noise.

Motors all good to go, have pretty much everything to do it, just gathering a few more funds to paint engine bay and do a few other bits and pieces then its go time! That Weber turned out to be not suitable, was a DGEV ( electric choke ) converted to manual and was too bulky out the side ( Would hit my rocker cover ), have a new one now that will work perfectly

Heres my induction setup, wanted to keep it driveable with the 32/36. Its a Brand new DGV 32/36 manual choke to keep it simple.

Fully rebuilt, balanced, fitted the stronger '205' rods ( that block doesnt have those normally ), ARP rod bolts, new pistons, lightened flywheel, group1 valves in head, Head ported and filled by Nismo.Capri ( cheers man ), FR30 Kent cam kit, and more
