It's an incorporate society, not a private company.

Latest newsletter has all the deets on the repair cert stuff LVVTA_Newsletter_2021_July-September.pdf

Did you notice that lvvta is effectively managing the repair certificate process through a similar structure now. They seem to be doing a good job and keeping the bureaucrats happy.

So long as it hasn't been de-reg, and still matches the declaration I think it's OK. "Do I need LVV Certification if I have a Modification Declaration Certificate?Cars that were modified prior to 1 January 1992 were issued with a Modification Declaration Certificate at that time. The Modification Declaration Certificate is valid as long as the vehicle is continually registered and until changes are made to the vehicle, at which time the vehicle must be LVV certified and issued with an LVV plate. Provided the vehicle is still the same as it was in 1992, the Modification Declaration Certificate continues to be valid today for WOF purposes. The WOF issuer is able to check with LVVTA or NZTA to verify details on the certificate."

Don't worry, a wimpy SB Chev won't break the wheels. A BB Ford however... Just check them occasionally.

You mean like Cory's etc?

I want to do some 12v wiring on a 42d, so fridge power etc. Where can I get good crimp connectors? I have one of these tools in a drawer to squish them.

Any good spots along the Hutt River? I won't be in Wellington tomorrow so Eastbourne might be a bit far to drive. https://goo.gl/maps/tM98knCtdKQKseqo9 -

Anything in mind for tomorrow @Mourning Cupcake. Weather looks OK. -
The small ones are fine for making curved flanges, just depends on what you need it for.
-
On shrinker/stretcher I've had this one for yonks, just switch the jaws over. Have had it bolted to the bench but changed to a vice mount with a chunk of angle. Seems to work fine for flanges etc. I do use a longer handle than it came with. A stand one with a foot pedal would be 'better' but this works for me.

I'll have you know that was state of the art in 1948, no reason a derivative wasn't still good in 1978!

Another great write-up and pics. Interesting to see closely what they did to the Minor suspension design. They managed to replace one threaded trunnion with a ball joint, but it's usually the bottom one that gives the most trouble anyway as it's more prone to getting rusty/water into it.

_Matt might be able to help? -
Universal expanding core plug. Just get the right size, poke it in the hole and tighten the nut. Meant for temp repairs but apparently last ok.
