  1. Good advice I reckon.
  2. Say Aaaaaah
  3. On call this week so won't make it.
  4. Progressing, should be painted next week.
  5. Good to see that some folks here still love british cars!
  6. Should be there in the Traveller, with a for sale sign.
  7. Thats looks so good!
  8. This company does rewebbing, might also look at the mech - I dunno? Home | Autosafe Unless you really really want to keep the originals I'd suggest a new one.
  9. Lol, I didn't even think of that. I note that you know though. I suppose it would be this section then that would need to complied with.
  10. Yeah nah, they don't need to be on the bumper but you need front facing lamps
  11. Kinda off road? In NZ. @DAD
  12. I had one arm break like that, I guess full inflation squeezes a bit more travel out? At that point I couldn't get a new one so made one out of a bit of Al. It's still there after a few years. Maybe I extended the drop link a bit so it wouldn't happen again.
  13. Better than a hose clamp which I was going to suggest
  14. I welded mine to the lower arms, but mine have one fixed end so don't need to rotate. Something clamped on to the arms would be fine I think, there's no real load on the sensor links
  15. This project is the tits!
  16. Full repaint, didn't seem to be much point otherwise given the scope of repairs, and the bonnet has never matched exactly (had it repainted in the USA when we first got the car as it was burnt from the engine air-cleaner fire) Going for the same colour, nothing too fancy. Somewhat tempted by these plates on TM, but wif probably wouldn't approve.
  17. I bought one of these a few years ago, seems to work fine for me. Only 180A but I mostly do light gauge stuff anyway. Think it was about 1k back then, now $1500 incl. BOC Smootharc 181 MIG Welder | BOC Gas
  18. Any action @kicker?
  19. A bit over 6 years since it came apart. I bolted the front suspension back together without many dramas Put the steering back in Enlisted a helper to tighten up the caliper mounts And moved it! Out of the garage then winched back onto the lift. Will drop the engine/box back in before fagnats hopefully.
  20. Hanging around in the paint shop, waiting for materials, should be underway soon.
  21. Well done, an amazing project!
  22. Some plastics respond well to waft over from a butane torch. Probably best to test it on a spare part, or the back or something first. e.g.
