  1. looks nice. Do a 5 stud conversion using e36 compact hubs and you can run some sweet late 5 series/7series rims.
  2. Thanks guys! I'm not a huge fan of the title tbh. Me and Richy had many a lol thinking it would also be come on ihreen. But regardless, its pretty choice. I had a hell of a time loling, writing that thanks tbh. Geoff the pom is blakes dog, Geoff the Pomeranian by the way. Love how all of the UK would all be going "AHH WELL OL CHOP, GREAAAT THAT A UNGLISHMAN HELPED BEELD IT"
  3. Ever since I was a pimply faced, 18 year old, screech, I've had a dream of getting a bmw into what is the worlds biggest bmw mag, Performance BMW UK. Fast forward through about 5 or 6 bmws later, and I flicked my build thread through to the mag, not expecting much. I almost shat myself with excitement when I got quite an enthused reply from the editor. The main problem she was worried with, was, who would do the photos? I excitingly replied, as I had just the guy. In steps our favourite krump dancing, banana spinning, camera snapping gentleman, Richy. On the day of the shoot, Richy boots me out of bed to get that golden shower of light out in Pohangina, and after some hatchback carting for the rolling shots by Waggy tail times, and some skids from Cam, we were complete. Thanks Richy, me ol' pal. Boy oh boy it took some time for the magazines to finally get here, but I tied my hands behind my back and resisted from downloading a copy, so that for the first time, I could turn the pages just like I imagined as a little shitbag. //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/29495-sparkles-bmw-of-supermega-happy-hell-yes/
  4. I'm pretty sure IHREEN is considered an investment plate now its been shown in English media.
  5. fucksake. You poor prick. Great that you have such lush insurance, makes me want to change to them tbh! Does this mean potential for more power in a roundabout way though?
  6. Sorry guys, bit late notice this month. Few of us discussed the idea of pizzas at drovers next Tues in Feilding. Drovers is on manchester street near the clocktower if you haven't been there before. Blake suggested the Westpac carpark for somewhere to meet up beforehand. See you there!
  7. can recommend B&H engine services in palmy if you can't find anyone up where you are.
  8. holy lol^ oh novus! Thats shit mate. Can you smack a twin cam head onto that block or nah?
  9. hey guyz, am running my engine on a high zinc 20w50 "oil pro"/pennzoil that my engine builder recommended. I feel that the oil may be taking a bit long to warm up/too much pressure g? When first driving, even with a 2min or so warm up, anything over 1500rpm goes off the scale (100psi+) . After 5-10 mins driving at 3500rpm or under the gauge still sits at 90-100psi under load, and drops back to about 20psi at idle. Eventually it drops back to about 70-80psi under load, and I suppose then I feel safe to nang it. (I've got a heavily gated and baffled sump etc too) Worth changing to a 15w40 mineral with high zinc? And if so, recommendations?
  10. Hey people, Thinking of trying something different again for March's meet. I know the owner of a choice little fish and chip shop in foxton beach that do amazing burgers. Leave Palmy at 6:15pm meeting at the Pioneer Highway Z petrol station or for out of towners approx 6:45pm at the Himitangi turnoff (Palmy guys we'll go Rangiotu way) Destination is Seabreeze takeaways - 62 Seabury Ave, Foxton Beach for an approx 7pm arrival Seeya all there!
  11. sorry guys i cant do mon or weds. Have a good-un though.
  12. Astrons jeah! Thats some nostalgia right there.
  13. Stalled it in the driveway on fri after coming home, wouldn't start. Banged starter motor with wheel brace, bang, starts. Guess thats the problem! Why the hell would have jump starting made it work though?
  14. Cheers chaps. All earths and leads to starter etc have been cleaned and tight. Similar sort of problem after just got it going, was put down to a bad earth on engine, so that may have not been the case after all?
  15. hey, didnt think required its own thread, E21 didnt start yesterday, turned key, dash lights on, no tur rurrs. Rolled it outside and managed to jump start it with my piddly pencil thin jumper leads on Jo's car (usually don't do anything) Drove for approx an hour to wanganui, started first pop when we left. Drove to visit someone in feilding, nipped out to get some dinner and wouldn't start, so crash started it. Started first pop when we left feilding again later on in the night. Started no problem since then, and took battery into repco for them to do a test, still pulled up 12.5v and 516cca. I thought may be a starter problem rather than battery, but surely putting leads on the battery wouldn't help this? IDUNOMAN
  16. Hey guys, Thought we could change the meet up over the summer months. Had a talk to a few of the members, and have come up with something similar but a bit different for this month. As we're summer now, not a huge need for an undercover carpark (hopefully!). Meet at the Campbell Street carpark next to heatrite at 6:30. From there we'll walk down to Pacha's Cafe (Kebabs, Iskendas, and the most pine enducing Baklava). He has some outdoor dining out the back. Hoping to get a hold of him to see if we can book it out. https://www.google.c...!7i13312!8i6656 We'll seeya then! Sparkle
  17. Hmmm 535i E28s are great, but man! That looks like a far good E34 to kill.
  18. Damn son! So good! Agree with the million dollar tridents these days. Pay the boss to be the boss though eh. Tidy 12 slots with new eagers look great though!
  19. Whats quite astounding is that whilst seeing your post I was taking a guitar break after not playing since last time you were in the same proximity as me. In fact, I still have my guitar in my lap? Coincidence? Yeah.
