  1. Looks pretty straight man. Will look great once you get the other nose cone on. The wagons do look a little funny with the lights it has now aye. I luv 808 coupes with them tho. So you just going to keep it as a piston powered run around for the time being?
  2. Cool man. Luvin the new pics, looks to be making good progress. Front and rear lights look great. I'd stay with those rears aswell. The green does look great against the gold of the simmons. Kinda like the contrast of my wheels against the paint. I think it brings them together better. As far as dumb comments on forums go, they will always be there. But people around here atleast respect a good car when they see one, and a good owner.
  3. What was that Nissan running? Fast? Sound cool?
  4. Haha fuk your sentances are crack up no fullstops an shit. Sounds like you have the colour thing sorted. Sounds mean! I've heard that heavy metal flake shit appears as a deep pearl rather than a glittery finish. We are planning on coming up this weekend too. If the gem makes it to aucks. Theres a dude on here putting a 1uz into the capri that I was tleling you about. Probly the man to talk to about the sussing the engine out.
  5. Looks cool man. You should mount the cooler boso styles tho. Would look crazy and out of place/Awesome.
  6. I reckon Starina. Awsome. I bet a girl called any of those names would be hott. I've met a couply called carina but they were about as pretty as a carina unfortunately. No where near as hot as a starlet.
  7. amping to show every one too, may kill sister if she doesnt bring the wire home Pics of sister? Oh shit sorry man
  8. Haha nice. Got the engine out?! I thought you were going to leave it in for now and then do the outside. Why'd ya prime up the front guards and are those small dents around everywhere? Shit whats going on.
  9. Or just find a couply other chaps willing to chip in on the mould. 3 people, $100 each would be sweet. Would make the overall cost alot cheaper.
  10. Thats so impressive. I wouldn't be dissapointed. Thats extremely light aye. I think you'd be able to get down to low 800's. Imagine high 700's. That would be crazy. If you haev full interior and all the tar and heater and all that crap you could drop it dramatically.
  11. Just a quick note, the list is looking great man. Very good effort. I think deffinately include new cars. As many as you can. The reason I listed h*ndas and pulsars etc is because if you have an old gem or chevette and you are looking for wheels, you know that you can use wheels of these vehicles. For example, loceda was telling me about some nice as deep dish wheels that come out on the brand new Toyota Echo, and I'm pretty sure they would be 4x100. So, if you ever see deep dish wheels on a rotten h*nda, you know who to call
  12. Ohh I see. Yeap, on other cars I prefer twin rounds, but twin rounds are usually rearer. To be honest it seems an 808 is becoming more of a rare sight than a 3. So whats the variation with the 808 that has the oval lights? Still looks cool, but deff not as tough as this front.
  13. I thought they used it purely because it was cheaper than stainless and is easier to weld. For years cars have had extractor systems made of steam pipe and the average chap just assumes that a turbo manifold is no different. I mean by all chances it was just a guy trying to sell me a stainless manifold, but he would have made more money out of a steampipe manifold anyway. It made sense to me, why would it rust on one side and not on the other? Theres far more moisture on the inside than the outside after all. I think the reason they look good on the inside it because the rust flakes get blown through the system.
  14. Thats a very cool wagon man. Lovin all of it, especially the front. I don't know why everyone likes the typical rx3 12a nosecone or whatever (I know next to nothing about mazdas). These ones are way better, is it not a 10a nose cone? Anyway, looking great man. Can't wait to see it on some wheels. Any other plans for the beast?
  15. I spoke to an exhaust dude that seemed to know what he was talking about. I was enquiring about turbo manifolds and materials to make them out of. He said a common mistake was that alot of people make them out of steam pipe which rusts and flakes. You know what happens on the outside? That also occurs on the inside. So all those little flakes of steel will be flying through your turbo. The only way to get around this is to get it HPC coated (or have your manifold made out of s/s originally). He said alot of people over look this, as so many exhaust manifolds are made from steam pipe.

    Offset?

Is that a piss take? A+B= the width of your wheel. You are measuring from either side to the same point. The second part, minusing C from A is right, but to get C you just use half the width of your wheel, right?
  17. Datsun 1600's used 4x114.3, I'm also sure the rwd dattos were all 114.3 (datsun bluebirds etc right the way through) Big datsuns were 5x114.3 Toyota Corolla fwds are 4x100 (ae82 etc) Same with fwd sprinters, levins, Nissan pulsars from '90 on (+ civics and integras ) Chevettes are 4x100 aswell.
  18. It will be structural I think. I chopped a similar part out of my chevette for mounting a larger radiator/fitting the g200 in easier, and it weakend it heaps. You could see the flex in the front when you just pushed it with your hands, and you are cutting out more than I did by the look of things. I think a good option will be welding pipes in the 2 places you remove material from. Then you can just attach the pipes both sides using silicone hose and will be strong as. Mean. Will look awesome aswell.
  19. Yeap, may have a short somewhere so the alternator is getting f**k loads of current drawn, hence why it is so hard to turn. Afew of those other probs sound like earthing aswell, but I'm no auto sparky. Man your car is so awesome. Jeeze. I think you should just pull those oil pipes in a tiny bit though, maybe an inch or so. Luv the boso, just not too much sticky outie.
  20. haha, nice. Have you thought of something like a billet front grill? It would be different on a dx, but its a little bit the same as all the other mini trucks that you see around. I think it would look awesome tho, covering the front lights and everything.
  21. ^ Thats a good effort man. Is pretty mission to do things that you know others (especially mates) aren't into. I think capris look best in older style colours. Two tones etc. Remember that awesome as beige/brown and cream one that was on TM and the link got put up here. It looked so good. Plus its good to tie it back to the retro look aswell, since so much of the car is going towards a 'new' theme (engine etc). Gun metal would still be wicked tho, perhaps black with gun metal roof (what I would like to do my gem wagon in but never will) or gun metal with light grey roof..
  22. Yeah man. Gun metal grey is awesome. It would definately suit it, thats for sure.
  23. How are you going to strip back your engine bay? I highly recommend sand/bead blasting. Only costs about $80 (or hire one maybe) and it comes up awesome. Way easier than other options..
  24. Its probably not worth mucking around with out used crap carpet.. what about just buying a whole heap and chopping it up? can be a mish tho aye...
  25. Average we just thru out a full 'pimping interior' like this one.. lol
