  1. Lovely! Bertone designed iirc, explains the quite different looking bodyshell compared to other Jappa's of the era. Get those whitewalls sorted pronto, once lowered, it will look soooo sweet.
  2. Is Napier actualy anything OTHER than dead? I remember going up there for work a few years back, we went to go out drinking on a Friday night and there was virtually nothing happening...
  3. Just as a side note, what are you planning on doing with those rims on the back???
  4. concur. Import some starsharks. I'd go with Phantoms
  5. It's a 2 door..... so make custom rear (flat) trims (where the doors would be) with MDF spacers mounted behind to securely screw some speakers into. Don't bother putting anything flash in cos rear speakers are pretty much a waste of time anyways! It's all pretty easy shit to do though, I've done over a dozen installs in various cars now, and most issues are simple to nut out. Doing it properly is the main thing though, scrimping and cutting corners with anything electrical inevitably leads to issues down the track.
  6. Bring the car down here and I'll do the audio, for some beers. If you want, when I have some times I could probably make up some fibreglass door pods if you're willing to pay. Good excuse for me to buy resin/hardener as I'll need some myself eventually.
  7. Autosport make a damn good product too. I want an oldschool 80's style one in black for the KP, thick as padding etc ftw. You can do roadtrips in those things and be mint. Drove to Auckland in my mates VR4 with Racetech 1000's (or something) in it... damn hard, and damn tight fit in those suckers. Not comfy for roadtrips, I concluded. The budgo fixed back Jamex seats suck the big one, fabric is poos, and they used to have this fuckin spring in the backrest that dug into your back (might've fixed that by now though).
  8. M-TEU's came in Corona Mark II's, amongst other things. I've heard that different headstuds can go some way to solving the headgasket issues on M-series engines too.
  9. Stick with the bumpers. It's not that kind of car mate.
  10. I just mean don't do it half assed/bodgie/take shortcuts. Too many K-series cars being rooted because of stupid pointless "cool" mods. No need to get all sarky-pants on it now. I couldn't care less if it had modgies or 19" chromes on it tbh.... as long as you do the work thoroughly and properly and don't create yet another mobile hazard KE that's gonna be fucked due to crap workmanship in 12 months time.
  11. Just don't fuck it. Please. The car, not the weirdo.
  12. Honestly I wouldn't bother chief. Being an M-series motor, there's a few bolt-in swaps that would be of much greater use to you... the ultimate of course being the 7M-GTE. It would probably be easier even to throw a 5M-GE in there and turbo that (existing EFi etc) rather than wasting time in the ol' 4M. Just be prepared to nuke headgaskets
  13. Good choice of colour Trying to convince a mate of mine to paint his KE70 in that Subaru grey mica colour... I reckon it's the shit eh.
  14. nah remove the bumps as well bro, steel on steel ftw. Those Cressy's are fugly bloody things though... such a shame after the RX30 which looked so much cooler.
  15. Get Chamberlains in Chch to do em then.
  16. Beaut little car mate, looks very tidy.... wanna swap for a KP I like those rims on it, something different to what you see every day, they have quite a SoCal look to them, keep it as it is I say
  17. Leak between carb and manifold maybe? I've had one of those before, made a high-pitched squeal. Squeeze liquid on the joining surfaces and see if it bubbles. Alt or waterpump bearings maybe?
  18. Oh forgot to mention it's available from the 9th... I haven't even moved in yet.
  19. Why not. Skids on etc. If weather is shit, I'll be in the KP though. Alfa's wipers suck the big one.
  20. Hey all, As some might know, I recently purchased a house. So now I'm looking for someone to rent one of the available rooms. Basically it's a nice 3bdrm home, I only want one other flattie, so I can keep a spare room for other bits and bobs.Gas hot water and heating, the bathroom has been recently done up too. Most furnishings are supplied - TV VCR DVD fridge washing machine etc. it's a case of moving your stuff into your room and off we go. Planning on having broadband, so will be running LAN cable or buying a wireless router/modem. The biggie - the garage. You will have a garage space that's shared with an Alfasud and a KP61 plus the garage also has a pit in it (to be refurbed but that's my first priority!). Also OSP for an extra vehicle too. So yeah, I havent settled on a rent price yet, but I'm thinking in the region of $90-$100pw bearing in mind it's a nice place, with a great garage, not something you'll find in any other 2bdrm renting situations. Ideally I'd like to live with someone fully employed, will also consider a couple (albeit at a higher price probably but still less than individual) or also responsible students. PM, reply here, or call/txt on 021 041 0507 if you're at all interested. Thanks, Richard
  21. Why the hell not. Any hoon anywhere is always fun.
  22. Single car sprints = the suck. Dual's are cool if you pair up with a nice even car/driver combo. If weather is real mint, I'm staying here to watch.....
