  1. Why not run new wires? Its not overly difficult or expensive and I wouldnt trust ancient wires to handle the power of a modern headunit
  2. 130 isnt that far away from 180...its still 72% fine. Its only when its 0 you have to panic
  3. Fender Mirrors are the best for using. As long as theyre set up properly they work FAR better than any door mirror
  4. Wheels should look good...with a dark green like that I reckon theyd look good with gold centres...make them look ike these rewinds
  5. My guess is this far out if you think it wont be ready theres no chance it will be. Even cars that should be ready with plenty of time to spare often barely/dont make it
  6. You can redrill wheels when theyre close to fitting like that...you need special bolts with a floating washer though
  7. Put some decent profile tyres on it and I doubt youd get such a hard time about the height...sure it still wouldnt be slammed but at least it wouldnt look 4wd ish

    low pros...

Dont go this low or everyone will tell you to lower your car more even if the chassis is on the ground. I have 185/60...closest to the original rolling diameter and actually looks like the right size
  9. Agreed. Theres getting to be alot of Modified Mercs around lately but theres very few done properly (or even choose the right base car ) but that is mint
  10. From a Pug N00b whats the advantage in the 309 Beam?
  11. 1600 diffs are an R160...R180s and 200s fit in relatively easily but theyre abit wider...alot of then need modded for different axle couplings as said though
  12. Have no further plans for the engine...I only ever wanted an L series in it...L20B with a decent head, hot cams and twin 40 dellortos is enough for me
  13. Saw you driving this in the north part of Cuba Street lunch timeish today. Looks good.

    Fuel parts

So that there's less chance of them getting cut. If you spend a lot of time on the loose stuff, this becomes much more of a possibility. I think your missing the flexible part, your explanation could be solved by using solid fuel lines inside the car too
  15. Im paying $350 pw for a 2 bedroom place with 2 car garage and a car port. Probably amongst the higher end of things though as is practically new inside and really close to town
  16. Those prices dont work too well...why not buy the conversion kit, rebuild all the remaining bits of a kent and sell it for somewhere under 35k...seems like easy money
  17. Looks good. I really like the colour. IMO it either needs to be lower or it needs larger tyres though, too much guard gap
  18. I have some old interior shots but none since its been completed. I can take some more, its going in for a wof on wed (should fail due to lack of cert) so will take some more photos of that when I get it back. Interior is pretty stock, its got retractable seatbelts and a Momo Super Indy wooden steering wheel. The factory radio is in the dash still but it dont go, Ive got a modern cd player in the glovebox. Its pretty much finished now, plans are get it certed, bring it with me to wellington and thatll be it for awhile. It still needs carpet too, but ive put some mats in it and covered the transmission tunnel in black felt (I had it lying around so used it as a temporary measure) so the only place you can really see the floor is between the outside of the front seats and the door jams. Will get around to that one of these days
  19. Finally got my car back from having the engine in bits. Its going better than it ever has since Ive owned it so gotta be happy abou that, even if the $2500 bill wasnt so pleasant First decent post-lowering pics Now need to get it certed so I can bring it to wellington with me in 3 weeks
