Could be tyres - the tread blocks vibrate when driving, and at certain speeds (like 100-110 in your case maybe) the vibration is much greater than any other speeds (resonant frequency), and they actually make an audible sound like humming or singing. Depends on type of tyre and road surface, does it happen on ashphalt motorways as well as chip seal?

widened sigmas ftw. Flip centres before welding back in for even more offset stz.

Haha cheers bro, its got oldschool spirit! Friend who i went down with in a s14 turbo with adjustable blah blah blah was getting flat 2:00's. I passed a skyline or two! More power than sense.. There was a supra there running 335 rear full slicks hitting 250kph on the back straight, 450kw apparently Man cant wait for nats!

I got a few plans - need to get a real job though! Coilover conversion/adapter on the front end. Dutch/german guy by the name of ron simmons (RSRacing) runs a driver training course at the nurburgring, he uses a fleet of TS's (the 75Experience) . He has developed a vey small diameter coilover unit which bolts in place of the shock. Keep the torsion bars as well and the spring rates add to give exxtra firmness. Kit comes with new rear springs and shocks and adjustable spring seats and a fat front anti-roll bar. Is quite pricey - 1200Euro, so round $2500+ to get it all here, but is pretty much the peak of suspension development for the transaxle alfas. There are some real gurus in the states who run it on full blown track cars, love it etc. Engine wise its pretty much standard. Plans - unsure about NA or turbs/super. Can get ITB kit from UK that has all gear needed to set it up - ITBs, mani, fuel rails, etc - but again 1800 pounds, which is HEAPS. And im a poor student. So probably staying standard in engine for a while. Got reasonable power, low down torque (DOHC 8V VVT FTW b0e!) so im not missing much. Sprak only done 2 trackdays, no racer liscence stz for me.. 1st taupo new small (same as superlap), cant remember any times from that.. 2nd was taupo full track in old config (track 4), i got it down to around 2:06 at the end of the day after playing round with tyre pressures and having a dump Understeers really bad at low speeds on corner exits, will need to do front susp to poly bushings and get alignment set right. crank few more -deg on.. Stiffer rear springs should help too i hope.

Go 124!! Love those, want one so much!! Come to trackday

Get one of them pressure bleeders that clamp on to the top of the reservoir, makes it piece of piss. Dont even need another person

I remember that conversation defcon! Man, your an idiot! and put some pics of your gem up, i aint seen that shit yet

that sounds like what happened to the work van when we took it away up north for new years (still does it when its cold). We thought it mite have been the fuel filter, but we couldnt get access to it cos its a dirty van and they suck to get to. It idles fine, but when you press your foot down on the gas, it starts to cough and splutter and revs drop to near stall, but then it seems to catch or something and starts to rev up normally. Sounds similar to what yours is doing, ill have a listen next time i pop over. Could be a dirty fuel filter, and crap is getting sucked through it into the engine, but im not an expert.

Well i couldnt find the magazine in my collection of car mags kyteler, but if i remember correctly it wasnt running any trumpets, he mesh was right over the end of the inlets. Unfortunately i cant remember what sort of carbs they were, but ill have another look a bit later tonight for it
-
plus carbies are just so damn cool. I remember a while ago in NZPC, there was an AE85 with a 4age running twin sideys with just some fine mesh over the inlets... It was pretty mean, they made all sorts of fuss over the sound it put out. So moral is go carbs
-
haha, the electric seat memory will be the most advanced technology in the car
-
well it wont need back brakes anyways, so just cut the lines, then fold the edge that goes to the master back and cable tie it to itself with a few cable ties. and fill your back window sprayer with diesel, then put the nozzle aiming at the tire instant smokies at the flick of a switch... that is if starlets have back window sprayers
-
damn thats a good idea, cos carbs on bike are damn small, being only 1 throttlebody/cyl. The linkages could get fidly tho, thats the only obvious downside i can see now. go for it man, quad carb aint only for V8's
-
problem with that is how the belts would reach the blower, you'd have to get custom gears and belts and pulleys made up, but it would work pretty well if you coudl get it going. just a bitch to set up
-
im pretty sure it's for his starly for a skids comp. Your will need to trash it way more now, cos you have 2 tyres to spin now, not one, and they will be both spinning all the time. dodgy_rotors you sound like you've got a bit of experience with this shit
-
yeah thats what sucks about car theives, if they want your car enough, they will have it. And you will probably not get it back either.
-
for vinyl roofs, id recommend the bin... nah but seriously, back to black should take care of it, otherwise "prime" it with crc, then wait till it dries a bit and wipe it off and then put on the back to black stuff, should work now
-
4th is overkill, trimatic for life!!!
-
bro just use this to work out your new speeds and stuff, no probs. They look mean, put some pictures up!
-
nah no need to run it in or anything, just fill up with 96 now, then get that tank to nearly empty, then fully fill with 96 again and your away laughing
