  2. TRust me, flat spot feel totally different to out of balance wheels! Just remembered about that lol
  3. This car keeps getting better and better! Me and zep were talkin bout ratting a variant all the way home from the vw nats in chch, and this is pretty much my perfect hoodride spec! I think i like the first stencil the best.. Except the bewbs in second are quite subtle, so thats pretty mean.. Gah, i dont know, its all too much steez
  4. Id go with A, B looks like it belongs on a sooobaaaaruuuu and i cbf looking at C
  5. haha awesome, make sure both of you are there racing at the next one!
  6. MEAN!!! Good to see some more italian metal on here! That 124 looks absolutely mint mate, id have to put a vote in for keeping it that way and turboing/making a 131 miafiori arbath rep or something equally awesome.. MEan delta too, m/any mods to it? Should come along to next trackday in november! Rawkin'
  7. Wait till you see mine, has warning lights for the warning lights Doesnt work of course.
  8. For brake fluid, motul rbf600 is a mean deal. Its race spec, pretty much the same wet/dry boiling points (couple of deg) as the elf/brembo stz, but BNT sell it for ~$35 trade! Which is a steal! 1166 is a mean material, love braking mega hard. Last trackday i was braking reeeal deep into one particular hairpin, change down to second, lose the engine braking on back wheels, fronts would lock up for a fraction till clutch was back out! Awesome! Scaring passengers with braking is mean
  9. Awesome, you posted about it! Love series 2, favourite shape 33. Those trumpets make it sound so mean, induction roar ftw. Cant wait for nats!
  10. Race brakes are top notch, have mean yarns to the old guys there. What material did you get? Bedding them in is the best part, once you get the resins in the pads cooking it smells so awesome! Better than tyres i think.
  11. Makes me proud to be an engineer! (Even if not mechanical )
  12. ok yeah, watched it again and heard an 8 revving so probably not a gem then
  13. is that a gem or a torana its racing in the first video?
  14. MEAN MEAN MEAN MEAN MEAN MEAN MEAN MEAN MEAN MEAN also, that chevette gbox is tiny!

  16. Could be tyres - the tread blocks vibrate when driving, and at certain speeds (like 100-110 in your case maybe) the vibration is much greater than any other speeds (resonant frequency), and they actually make an audible sound like humming or singing. Depends on type of tyre and road surface, does it happen on ashphalt motorways as well as chip seal?
  17. widened sigmas ftw. Flip centres before welding back in for even more offset stz.
  18. Haha cheers bro, its got oldschool spirit! Friend who i went down with in a s14 turbo with adjustable blah blah blah was getting flat 2:00's. I passed a skyline or two! More power than sense.. There was a supra there running 335 rear full slicks hitting 250kph on the back straight, 450kw apparently Man cant wait for nats!
  19. I got a few plans - need to get a real job though! Coilover conversion/adapter on the front end. Dutch/german guy by the name of ron simmons (RSRacing) runs a driver training course at the nurburgring, he uses a fleet of TS's (the 75Experience) . He has developed a vey small diameter coilover unit which bolts in place of the shock. Keep the torsion bars as well and the spring rates add to give exxtra firmness. Kit comes with new rear springs and shocks and adjustable spring seats and a fat front anti-roll bar. Is quite pricey - 1200Euro, so round $2500+ to get it all here, but is pretty much the peak of suspension development for the transaxle alfas. There are some real gurus in the states who run it on full blown track cars, love it etc. Engine wise its pretty much standard. Plans - unsure about NA or turbs/super. Can get ITB kit from UK that has all gear needed to set it up - ITBs, mani, fuel rails, etc - but again 1800 pounds, which is HEAPS. And im a poor student. So probably staying standard in engine for a while. Got reasonable power, low down torque (DOHC 8V VVT FTW b0e!) so im not missing much. Sprak only done 2 trackdays, no racer liscence stz for me.. 1st taupo new small (same as superlap), cant remember any times from that.. 2nd was taupo full track in old config (track 4), i got it down to around 2:06 at the end of the day after playing round with tyre pressures and having a dump Understeers really bad at low speeds on corner exits, will need to do front susp to poly bushings and get alignment set right. crank few more -deg on.. Stiffer rear springs should help too i hope.
  20. Go 124!! Love those, want one so much!! Come to trackday
  21. Get one of them pressure bleeders that clamp on to the top of the reservoir, makes it piece of piss. Dont even need another person
  22. alfa romeo 75, 156, new GTV/spider - 5x98
  23. I remember that conversation defcon! Man, your an idiot! and put some pics of your gem up, i aint seen that shit yet
  24. that sounds like what happened to the work van when we took it away up north for new years (still does it when its cold). We thought it mite have been the fuel filter, but we couldnt get access to it cos its a dirty van and they suck to get to. It idles fine, but when you press your foot down on the gas, it starts to cough and splutter and revs drop to near stall, but then it seems to catch or something and starts to rev up normally. Sounds similar to what yours is doing, ill have a listen next time i pop over. Could be a dirty fuel filter, and crap is getting sucked through it into the engine, but im not an expert.
