I'll definitely run the cruiser around behind the pack again. Bacon and sasuages on the trusty Kent bbq for the win -

I guess whats your end goal with it @EpochNZ a pinto with a 32/36 webber and a 5 speed will be a good drivable motor that will last and not cost the earth. Im sure that @- i5oogt - can assit with sortinh a set of headers and a decent carb for it to liven it up a bit -

Is the blue shell manual or auto? Getting a manual box to go behind the pinto motor may be the most expensive part of the exercise -
Yeah still wof an reg somewhere. I sold it about 5 years ago The tail gate on the wagons weights about 120kg so balances the car out well so they handle. Mine also had the sway bar and sump guard from a mk3 fitted to tighten the front end up. Used to handle pretty good for lever arm shocks up front still haha

Seeing your thread makes me miss my old wagon This was my only car for over a year. Lowered 2' on widened steelies with original centre trim and beauty rings Was a riot on gravel roads. But had a tendency to grade the centre flat....

Ive had this mz11 soarer front cut sitting around for a while because it has a 5mge in it. So i decided to pull it today and start preping for it to go in the ms65 After lockdown will get all the cam covers vapour blasted and paint them The wiring is a pain to follow Im tracing the wiring for the airflow meter from the ecu plug which is all inside the body loom fml Atleast the engine loom is mostly seperate

Since your not in a hurry it can wait a bit. Ive been crook the last few days anyway. And i dont need to spread it further than the rooster at work decided he had to . But yeah i can come have a look at some point
-
It wont be worth taking off unless your getting a new one I can come show you a few tricks but all my tools are at work and lockdown. So i cant get them You will probably just end up re filling the wheel arch as its to hard to get to. Newtech is good for stuff like that where you need to get some decent thickness

Is the rest of the panel bad enough to warrant total replacement? If not its a 2 person job hold a block of wood (2x4 pine is adequate) on the outside and cork the swage back into it with an appropriate corking too Always get edges back first then dress the rest of the panel to suit. That way you reduce the risk of getting a full panel that requires shrinking. If it just needs dressing then its probably not worth replacing if its quite rusty maybe it is. The arch looks pretty munted too

Often pictures of the repair during stages and pre paint is more than enough to show it hasnt just been boged up

Going down the molesworth on day 3 could be a bit boring after 2 days of pretty hard riding. Also @RUNAMUCK bump up entry so we can get some decent butchers sasuages for next years ride. And equally as many double browns. Not that i condone drinking and riding -
Yes i need to return that. I keep looking at it then forgetting again

I havnt had a fan on this for a while as all my viscous are either siezed or nof doinh anything so i took it off so it didnt sound like a van Carfully route planning and nof sitting in traffic was the key to not overheating it. Anyways. I had the radiator record recently and at the same time i got the shop to put a bung for a temp switch in. So tonight i put an electric fan in it Its actually out of a 1992 galant out in field
