  1. If you are going to lift it up like that again i have 2x trolley jacks in the shed you can borrow. IT may make it easier.
  2. Pull the bearings now. You want the clean blasted steel to stay clean. You will get to dirty when you pull the bearings out. Or if you leave them on the grease will melt in due powder oven. Just my 2c
  3. Did you get that off a young fella in Wellington? . Have you seen Brent from bm world is selling a m535 e28 for 5K. I have two front doors you can have if you want them. They prob need a bit of a tidy up but hay they are free.
  4. He is the manager of Ellesllie, mt wellington and New lynn. he was very helpful when we were moving around between sites. Why can we not continue at countdown Mt wellington? What about count down MAnukau, similar set up. big underutilized car p;ark and a burger king up stairs.
  5. It would be Neal. But yes I did say at the time, let's write our own risk analysis and protocols then approach animates to see if we can come up with an agreement
  6. It's the animates people that have the issue. Yes the guy complained but it's not the main thing. At the last meet on the roof after a burger myself and a couple of others went back up stairs. There was a rotary warming up. The CEO and GM of animates had worked late and came out to leave and we're surprised to see the park full of old school. They did not know that we had been using the park . I spoke with them and put them on to Richie and Neal (I think) Basicly they have said that having the car meet there is outside of their health and safety standards and they are not prepared to take the risk to have us there. We did have an agreement with the owner to use the park, but animates have lease on the carpark and therefor it is their responsibility. So yes health and safety kills the fun again
  7. Thank you Will do that today as the low charge beep is annoying me
  8. Or through the charge plug. Did you have to have the master switch on so it would charge
  9. Hello gents. I scored a mechpro jump pack. But it has no charger. It looks like I need a 15v 800ma charger. I don't have anything close. What do you think about just hooking my battery charger up to the clamps on the jump pack? My chargers a peak charger so no chance of over charging. What say you savage
  10. I recently discovered that my car is no longer in the system. Long story short I fucked up. I spoke to s gent named Duncan about two weeks ago. An old mate did his time under him. He said that it's $120 for the first inspection. From there a plan will be made as to how to progress forward. I can't strip it till he has seen it as he wants to be "in charge" of the processes from the start. So he wants to see it pre and post strip. The plan is then made. He will mark out all areas to be repaired So He did not say it directly but once he was happy with how you work he would be happy with lots of photos to document each repair made. Total cost was unknown as it would all depend on number of visits and length of report needed etc. Hope that helps
  11. Do you have any thing to do with the welding inspectors?
  12. Ahh. I have a mate working on it at the moment. That's the only way I knew. He's doing stupid hours , getting stupid money.
  13. What have you been doing lo g hours on. Are you on the marsden point refit?
  14. I have a regulator in the shed, it's never been used , only fitted to the bottle Let me know if you get one without a reg. It's Italian not cheap spec. There's now wiring so no need to worry about the Italian quality
  15. Or just use it out of th e tap. The amount they add to drinking water so so small.
  16. Just fill bucket with water then leave it overnight. Chlorine is not a stable thing. It gets used up by dirty things and it also evaporate s when left open.
  17. Have you got a set of speakers? I have some fusion 6x9 for you if not.

    PAINT THREAD

It seems to be very popular with the Europeans doing rebuilds. Lots of it being used on the BMW e21 specific forum. I have a bottle here that I plan on using, I'm need to know what.m/ BBCprep pre paint it needs. The bottle is eastern block spec with no.english on it any where. @sheepers Can you just paint directly.over the top. I used it on a small rust repair on the wife's old daily. Need totouch it up so we can sell it.
  19. Talk to Brent Parker on the e21 facebook page @Brentis Im going to do the same thing. My car has Holden disks and calipers on teh front and e34 rear brakes. there is a common bolt on off a e12 i think im going to be using the matching master off the Holden so i know it correct. have no idea how its going to be mounted yet. im thinking that im going to make a plate to bolt to the fire wall to ensure the fire wall is strong enough as they can flex if the master is bolted directly to it. not sure if it will pass cert. will check closer to the time. there is a guy on the aussie bmw forum with a s52 in a e21 he had some great shots of how he mounted his. his name is Nigel. But photobucket killed that thread.
  20. Remind us of whAt car it is. I would not bother with carbon for the light covers. You can buy dyed fiberglass that looks the same but will be much cheaper. Unless you are doing what Dave is doing there is no benefit in hand laying carbon.
  21. how are you going to get on with the mods to the pedal box? Will it not have to be design approved?? Looks like a top job though. Wish i had the time to work as fast as you seem to. (i wish i had the time to work!!!!)
  22. What are we looking at an the photos. I just see rust.
