    Mate has a Triumph 2500 running a 3.5 V8 with big Holley carb on it. Reckons it goes like shit off a shovel.

    Workmate's 302W XD sedan gets around 25 mpg just as a comparison. My 4.1 XC wags used to do 22 mpg.

    Is that the good old 302 Windsor? I've been reliably informed that putting 289 heads on a 302 block ups the compression by a useful amount.

    Our real farmer neighbour has an L200 from the early '80s. It hasn't been legal since the '90s but it always starts, goes, and stops as and when required.
