  1. Jeeze jokers - looks like you had a goodtimes.jpg

So much so that we are keen to come down and do it  - looking at 25th - 28th March.

    @slacker.cam @sentra @peteretep @Tumeke

    Two questions:

    1. Anyone wanna do it again / join us?

    2. Anyone excited to wanna do support for us in case it turns to shit?

Main concern is being stranded with a broken bike/person. Yeah we're pretty self sufficient but hey - risk assessment suggests we might be stupid to do it without.

    Ken to hear your thoughts

  2. @Pee Dubs Just caught your tag.

The Trident Tavern / Mangere Bridge Tavern drinking team of @sentra @peteretep @slacker.cam and myself are putting our bikes on pallets with some kiwistamps, then flying into ChCh on the Thursdae AM.

We are thinking we might ride up to Hanmer for extra adventures on the Thursdae, but if there is a trailer available to bring them back on the Sundae (4 x bikes Hanmer to ChCh pls @anybody?) it might be handy if we are running late for aero planes.

If not, we will hit the road early on Sunday to ensure we can get back, pack our bikes and get to the airport before 7pm flights.

We have our accommodation (we're going cheep + not camping due to logistics) if anyone cares:

    Hanmer: Alpine Adventure Park

    Blenheim: Blenheim Bridges Holiday Park

    Nelson: Paradiso Backpackers.

     - better living errbody.

  3. CT-CREEK 110/125

My brother has a Cub with leading link suspension - not ideal for cape ride.  Upgrade searching began.

I found this amazingly cheep CT110 on marketplace that some bloke found in a creek at the back of his house. GC even dropped it off with his truck.

I was told i'll never get it going cause it's seized and shit - which is fine cause I just wanted parts. But then....

With a bit of old ATF fluid, some spanners and about 6 Haargens, pulled it apart and made it spin again.

Threw some spares I had left over from Cooks Transport at it

And went and did some skids. Goes good.

Then got bored and threw a spare Lifan 125 in it and did a 200km shakedown. Now cape-readyish.

ALSO SPECIAL THAMLS TO @BLIZZO FOR NEW RIM(JOB). Didn't even take the tyre off it.

@Tumeke got any measurements for remaking one?
I see cmsnl has them but it’s pretty expensive to get them here!

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/Suzuki-A100-A100-GOFER-Exhaust-Muffler-Baffle-Pipe-14510-12002-NOS/264618616923?epid=19007954223&hash=item3d9c7fa85b:g:~L4AAOSwQTVeNKE3

Measure your pipe outlet. That's the tube size.

If you look at the picture, the exhaust goesfrom the motor into the wide end but wont go all the way through. It escapes the slots and then goes back into the asbestos covered section and out the arse end.

Doesn't have to be perfect, but the back-pressure is recommended to avoid you running lean and doing silly seizing things.

Then weigh up your time. The link above is $50 kiwi bucks plus say $20 from the states.... Not that spendy really?
