  1. Registering interest. My car looks american from the front right? That is.. unless you want me to trailer over that car you rode in at kumeu.
  2. Glue trim on and pretend? i did that on a car once.
  3. Double sided tape (the black kind) will help you remove it in the future and cushion it from frame flex (not a problem in your car) but i only use that in the inner area, around that i use that window adhesive. That's how i do it. Other people might do differently.
  4. Carry some plywood to use as ramps? Woah were you there?
  5. i have a feeling that a 202 carb' on a 173 will run a bit rich.
  6. http://www.motorsportmagazine.com/opinion/f1/ferraris-formula-1-jet-ignition So my model T has giant spark plugs that would easily let me screw in some kind of adapter with this style gizmo atop it..
  7. i'm tired, can someone scrounge a cardboard box and cut a silhouette and draw sunglasses on it and stand it in a corner somewhere? Cheers.
  8. i have had 3, one the insulation was breaking down, the other 2 got weak when hot and resistance would climb.
  9. Have you tested the components before you dismiss them as needing to be replaced?
  10. Drafting behind big trucks can massively increase your fuel economy if you are like a foot behind them but i''m pretty sure they don't like it (plus it's slightly reckless) so i don't recommend it.
  11. For what it's worth i know someone that lopped an inch off each end pf a MK3 cortina steering rack and fitted longer tie rod things to compensate. Made the cortina handle well, like the factory should have done in the first place.
  12. So i'm trying to think of a way to limit lock on one side so that they pass cert for moving it sideways a few mill', not working out so well unless it was a power steering rack. Might be easier to move the engine (no modding seals for that)
  13. In an ideal world the region of the inner ball joint is supposed to be in line with the upper and lower arm joints so moving it sideways it gets moved slightly. Might not be so bad if you moved it rearwards. But you know all this and can probably work out the bump steer to minimal too.
  14. i might, my car has seats & i'm hoping to make it there.
  15. Found water/alum'oxide sludge in my car yesterday, clogging things up. i blame ethanol.
  16. i suspect BP98 doesn't. But then i've never tested it. Been so long i wouldn't remember how to test it...
  17. Might have a seat, you can give me directions because i will probably get lost.
