  1. I know the sta bends are a bit shit but they are cheap so for that reason alone I like them. I've ordered a couple of resonators and some pipe to go with the rx7 stuff and I'll re do the exhaust. I thought about getting the new headers to fit the existing system but it'll be nearly as much work as redoing it in 2.5 vs who knows what size it is now. Token photo of stuff before I butcher/ruin it
  2. This morning I got a text from Joe and it has been picked up! I'm fizzing now. I found my exhaust gasket material so I can hopefully fix the leak, I've ordered a flexible too as it doesn't have one. I'll have a good look over it and make a wish list. But first I'll do the diff & drive shaft bolts and annoy the neighbours with tang noises down the road
  3. Wakayeah congrats. Nothing like that clean sheet feeling
  4. I have a proper axle puller slide hammer you are welcome to borrow id it helps man
  5. I had the tank thread lol. My 2c is just get the por 15 kit, follow the instructions and don't spill half of the metal ready. Oh and triple check you haven't sealed up any vents. Bloody good work on getting it running and good call on giving the carbs a birthday. I think the battery will be stuffed if it's been sitting for years but it doesn't hurt to try
  6. I was going to say tang a de sprang. The interior rust doesn't look too horrible. I really like that shape ute/truck
  7. I'll have to get a sideways hat and join them there pages
  8. I filled out the online form for getting this collected from goat, they called last night saying they would collect it today. its a bit too soon as it still needs to be moved out of the shed and I still haven't paid them to pick it up. The tow truck driver is named barry which I thought was appropiate. I should hopefully get it late next week
  9. I like the look of the us? Spec steelies but have never seen them here
  10. according to all the gtst ones on the tard they +40 Shipping up was more than I expected so wheels are eve further down the list now
  11. I used aps in newlynn/avondale. 58 lansford crescent. +64 274 994 326 give him a try
  12. Probably won't bother with spacers either tbh. My priority is to get it to wof standard first anyway. I figured if I can get a set of wheels with ok tyres it's a step in the right direction
  13. Spacers will make up the difference I can't justify spending half the value of the car on wheels so I'll have the shit looking gtst wheels if they are 1/4 the price. Man a grand for a set of wheels is another car...
  14. There are a couple of reasonably priced gts-t wheels on the tard so I'll keep a eye out for them
  15. They look OK but not quite my cup of tea leaves. And I'm waaay to tight to pay for them haha
  16. Does anyone have a recommended contact at mazda or hookups? I'm a tight arse and hate paying retail. Off the top of my head I need a front diff mount which apparently is fairly common on these? I really should fix the exhaust on the honda and take it for a wof buy why spend $40 on a wof when you can spend $500 on getting this home... priorities
  17. There were a couple of mx5s at zebra so I grabbed the cv bolts and the diff input bolts so hopefully they are similar enough to work on the fc so its less sketchy. I also have sorted a load of wheel nuts so there will be more than three holding the wheels on. Its a bit early but does anyone have a set of r32 gtst wheels for cheap? I've seen a couple on those wheels and like the look if them. This one on tardme looks pretty sweet imo
  18. That looks awesome, I'll have to steal some ideas for when my van arrives
  19. I suck at photos. All going well this will be getting collected from its nice warm shed and be dropped off to me next week. I'll have to ask the landlord to put up another garage so I can work on my stuff at home
  20. Rear suspension is in and the front is finger tight so I can roll it out of the garage tomorrow. I am much happier with how the rear is sitting now, its a tad higher than with the other shocks which is good. That silly side skirt needs to go but I think i'll wait untill a piece of ground takes it off and deal with it then Ive gotten used to it being on axle stands and I forgot how low/small it actually is
  21. Did they leave the keys in the digger? It could take less time to remove that wall...
  22. I got to play with the lathe again. I turned the spacers down and got them pretty close
  23. The externally adjustable konis need a fatter crush tube where it passes through the top hat. Because I'm a jew and didn't want to buy new ones I got some crush tubes off the radius arms and shortened them. The rear shocks are nearly ready to go in. I also did a couple of small things today, Fitted some more clips on the brake lines and put the rotor retaining screws in I made a bit more clearance between the gearbox and body, hopefully it hits less now. Time will tell. I'll be able to see exactly where it is hitting now that its got a quick coat of paint thrown at it. Yes its sfa clearance now but its not touching now which is better than before Power steer pump etc all in and hopefully bled
  24. I bled the power steer and put another few liters of fuel in and it fired up. Sorted the universal for the steering column at the same time. I've done a few things that weren't on the list but thats fine.
  25. At least you found the leak now rather than after the house is done
