Stay positive people. Forecast is usually wrong. -
CHEAP RETRO SOUNDS I hade a big hole in the dash where a head unit should be, so I bought a old 70's stereo off trade me. It has a built in CB radio and some sweet fake woodgrain.Once received I discovered the CB is USA spec 27mhz, not compatible with NZ's 26mhz so no mungo aerial just yet.I'm not keen to cut holes anywhere for speakers so decided to mount new speakers in the factory spot under the centre of the dash. Hidden by the mother of all heater ducts was the orignal 1970 single speaker. A couple of new 4 inch no brand speakers I've had in the garage for a few years. Rattle can black. Bolted together then zip tied to that duct. Flash. Radio installed in factory spot. The sound out of th FM radio in so much better than expected.I can tune in the ipod with a itrip and cruise to some sweet 70's rock

Is this for the rear muffler flap? I think the muff flap is ecu controlled. Just pull it off and hold the flap open with some wire or something.

Have you looked into getting the LPG hooked up again? It could save you some $$$$ on fuel and LPG is 99 octane.
-
With retractable the key would be to pull them all the way out, then the belt slides off the drum. just make sure you dont let the drum unwind. There is a small loop in that end of the belt with a platstic bit inside. With the plistic bit out you should be able to slide off the buckle, fit desired buckle and re assemble. I really wouldn't recommend restitching any part of a seatbelt that takes the force of impact.

Please say it is a full on air bag set up.

Bring a tow rope. I'll get ya to the top. V 8 P O W E R edit , kicker beat me. -
Yeah the tail gate is a cool feature. It includes an electric window, switched from the dash. Awesome cruising on a hot day with the back window down.

Have done a few jobs since the last update.I got a wheel alignment, which has made a huge difference. The castor was actually negative before the alignment which explains the shopping trolly handling. After adjustment I ended up with only a small amount of posive castor. I wanted more but they were resricted by the balloon tyres becasue the wheels move back as castor angle is added. Seeing as new BFGs aren't in the budget right now it'll have to be close enough. Handling is 10X better than it was.I lost a hub cap a while back. I just managed to find a full set on trade me. So I now have 3 spares. I have owned the wagon for 6 months now so I decided it was about time I gave the poor old girl a tune up. Plugs, points, leads were all pretty new. Set the points gap, added 4 degrees more timing (base timing 8 btdc) Adjusted idle jets on the carb. Boom, that woke her up.The Buick has no factory water temp guage, just a too late light (overheat light), which has a broken sender. I chucked in a Trisco old school looking temp guage under the dash. I also have a new switch for the hot light on the way.

Wow. I just saw your build thread for the first time. Reminds me of the chevy SS-R. I guess thats kinda what you are going for. Should have plenty of get up and go with that motor. -
Thats what I have been told also. CV grease is 'rubber safe' so it doesn't cause it to swell or perish.
-
The condenser would explain no spark but not why the engine doesn't turn over. May be worth trying some jumper leads for shits and giggles. Put the earth jumper lead somewhere on the engine in your car instead of negative battery terminal.
-
If the engine doesnt turn over how do you know there is no spark? Also check fuses. I think these have fuse wire for the main fuse? Check with a test light both sides of the fuse. Double check the basics. Is the battery connected the right way? Is the signal wire at the starter getting power when you turn the key?

Sender normally goes in the sump but I have seen them in drain plugs.
-
Yes it raises the boiling point but it does not raise the temp in the rad.
-
How hot does the oil get. Would a water temp guage read high enough?
-
I'd be keen to nosey around some sheds. Nothing to see in mine except an oil stain that looks like jesus.

So when the big turbo is boosting does it blow air through the small turbo?

Fark. What hit the windscreen? Looks like the mighty holden was doing 234km/h on impact.
