  1. So I was told that you will no longer be able to build a rota van as they are no longer certable? What about converting Utes to a rotary? (my life long dream of a Rotavan ownership hinges on this...)
  2. I’m pretty keen to head over for it. I think they have had a few at the garage and it quite well attended. Worth a look anyway.
  3. @kyteler or bring the 7? I’m thinking of taking all 3 Mazda’s. (Trailering the FC haha)
  4. Cool pictures. I love the photo at C&C with the old Barry balls deep in the engine bay haha.
  5. ^ what he said. Love the Chrysler badge idea. Fucking with peoples minds appeals to me. And it will be awesome listening to Barry’s talk about it! Also, the painted bonnet pins have grown on me. I’ll admit atfirst I was unsure, but like mentioned above it makes it even more sleeper. So now im down with it.
  6. Having the repair panels needed makes the whole job less scary. When I saw the pictures of the rust I just saw thousands of dollars worth of panel beater to custom make patches for those areas. Even if the frieght gets spendy, it’s still going to be cheaper and better now in the long run. And it means there is still a Saab build thread for me to enjoy on Oldschool. Think I’ll go have a beer to celebrate.
  7. If I can’t have a Saab, no one can! Mowhahahah (read as evil laugh)
  8. Stink. I say burn it with fire. May aswell have some fun with it. Supersad that it means no Saab to follow.
  9. why don't y'all come up for Easter. Gana be a choice as fing.
  10. Wait for it... Rotary. Your welcome.
  11. Okay people, there are a couple of car related things happening soon. Laurence Car show Roxbourgh A&P Show And Car Show. Classic Car racing at Highlands And the big one... Wheels at Wanaka at Easter! So who’s keen to do stuff?
  12. My heart says rotary but the brain says V6 twin turbo.
  13. Congratulations on the prizes at 4 & Bongo Nats! Well deserved too. (Rotary power Avenger next?...) Also those wheels look the mutts nuts mate. Really really suit it and finish it off.
  14. Old mate and his Cordia.... @TimShadboltfan27 You’re doing it wrong.
  15. Yeah, most of the radiators got re-cored in the mid 90’s and it was common practise to upgrade it. Thought it was from 2 upto 3. Could have been 3 to 4 but either way you don’t wont to go back down a core...
  16. I think you will find that unless you buy them as personalised plates there is not much you can do to secure them. Also, if the car has been issued white plates at any time in its life you will never be able to register it with the older black plates. If you are that concerned the best bet is to buy them as personalised plates and either have them remade as black plates of do it yourself.
  17. Check to see what the quote is for though. From memory the G1 radiators were only 2 core and we used to upgrade this to a performance 3 core. It was 20 years ago so my memory might be fuzzy but it’s worth double checking. As you will know, heat kills Rotaries...
  18. I think I have mentioned this before but: Fenix and other cheap Chinese radiators have a 30% failure rate. All this means is that if you fit one to your car don’t ten go out and drive the full length of the country. Fit it, run it up to temp in the garage. Do a few laps of the block. That way if it fails your are close to home. If it doesn’t fail immediately then you are probably all good to go. Other things to know about them is that they normally require some modifications to fit correctly. We put one in my mates RX-8 and other then a wee jiggle to make it fit he’s had 40,000kms worth of trouble free motoring. Also, if it is one of the 30% that do fail they will normally swap it.
  19. ^THIS! @Speedy88 Central Otago is lush at the moment. Lots of cherries and peaches and wine and suns and all the good stuffs.
  20. Looking good mate. Good idea to put an angle/drip edge on the bottom of the boards.
