Matt / rxford's junk.

The plastics on the trimmed recaros were a bit shit, and the adjuster knob had chunks missing, so I swapped out some nicer ones off some parts seats I had before fitting them back into truck.

Also gave the stock rails a quick prep and rattle can to clean them up and match the adaptors.

I had to make some new mounts for the centre console. For some reason the mounts I had were wrong. Maybe 4wd vs 2wd tunnel or something. Got that done and mounted and the sub fitted back in.

Swapped the stock steering wheel out with a nice Momo Ghibli 3 wheel I had to match seats somewhat.

Other than another vacuum, and finding some better suited floor mats, the interior is now complete.

Finished tidying up the Lh side loom and snipped off all the unused plugs. Sorted and rewrapped the engine loom too.

Spent a bit of time fault finding in the horn circuit. Found a faulty horn relay in engine bay, so got that swapped, mounted the horn behind grill and got that wired.

Need to give it a bit of a clean, and the headers/inlet manifold a polish but most things are done engine bay now.

Had a little rubbing of the front tyres at full lock during cert check, so  ended up raising front about 10-15mm, lowering bumpstop 10mm, and limiting steering. The drop spindles didn't have an adjustable steering stop, so I had to drill and tap them to suit.

Might check valve clearances during the week but pretty much ready for the recheck next week now.

Coupla saturdays ago @cletus was a top bloke and did a cert recheck for me.

I had to swap out my steering stop bolts to a dome head style but other than that, it got signed off and paperwork sent away after 'celebrating the queens death' Monday holiday.

Got the message today that all is sorted at Lvvta's end and the info has been loaded to the site.

Stoked !!!!

Whilst waiting for the cert to go live I managed to find a part number for genuine pedal pads as my brake/clutch pads were pretty shit, and metal showing on the brake pedal is a wof fail. Almost ordered from overseas, but figured I would check locally first.

South Auckland Ford/Mazda had stock and are cheap as chips. Also FYI, the same as FC Rx7... so ordered a couple pairs and had them turn up the next day.

Have been putting a few Kms on the ute. Took it over the hills to the lockup last Sunday as it was a beaut day. Used it for daily duties for a few days during the week. Even did ute things with it...

Swapped it out with the Cordia yesterday so now utes crammed in the home garage and Cordia gets a spot at work.

Clearly didn't get the Cordia sorted in time for drag day. Had a good crack at it, but gave too many of my weekends away leading up to the event.

Had to bring dog to supervise scrutineering til the old duck woke up and could look after her. Big day, she was out to it on the way home.

Onto taillight surround repair.

Templated good side, and transferred it to some plate radiusing the edge to give me a simple hammerform. Marked my oversize repair section, cut/folded and riveted it to the hf.

Bit of heat and some gentle persuasion got me the shape I wanted.
