kiwi808 Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 So my mate who owns my old Holden has found a nice stock steering wheel and he wants to remove the racing wheel and he’s having issues. He has removed the buy but the boss kit doesn’t come off. He’s tried unscrewing it and it won’t budge. Might need a puller or something? Anyway I’m hoping a Holden Barry might be able to shed some light on this... Quote
kiwi808 Posted April 23, 2019 Author Posted April 23, 2019 And here’s the new wheel... (cause pics) Quote
tortron Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 Puller should do it or put the nut back on a couple turns and pull on the wheel 2 Quote

flyingbrick Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 Yup just screw wheel back on and wiggle it from side to side as he pulls. 1 Quote

I was a bit worried that he would snap the top off the steering column as he said he was really trying hard to unscrew it. But a wiggle back and forth and a bit of pulling and it came off! Thanks for the quick replies guys. Love you long time. 5 Quote

RUNAMUCK Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 Side sharn, back in 96 I had a KE30 I bought off a guy in my rugby team for two jugs. (It was a "bit rough". Removing the steeing wheel I tugged and wiggled it. It came off suddenly. And the wheel smacked me in the face hard af. I was sure my nose was broken. Lesson Learned. I've never forgot that. 3 2 Quote
