Chris.QCR Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Damn cool bro ! Bit of slam and a tidy up and will be a sweet little car Quote
0R10N Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 That is neat. ...are we driving this to Highlands? Quote
427carguy Posted September 12, 2017 Author Posted September 12, 2017 @Chris.QCRSlam will take some out of the box thinking because of the transverse leaf spring front suspension allows very little lowering. And @OR1ON under 20hp and a claimed top speed under 90kph I'll probley keep it as an around town driver lol Quote
igor Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Our old Presbyterian minister dailied one of those back in the day. Went everywhere in it, unsealed back roads and all. Quote
kyteler Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Not surprised. Ministers are generally all about unsealing back roads. Usually of little boys. 3 Quote
Kiwibirdman Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Cool little car. Mate of mine had one last century that started out the same colour. He pulled it apart, did all the rust and gave the motor a rebuild. The rebuild of the motor included a 650 big bore kit, dual throat webber carb with proper manifold and a better flowing exhaust. Two main problems, first was it ran hot and would only run cooler with super expensive fully synthetic oil, the other was the rubber inserts in the axles that act like a CV joint lasted a matter of weeks with the extra HP. It got modified to take proper UJ's and no more issues. Good little car that got dailyed for many years. Was still in really good shape when he sold it for a lot of money about 10 years ago. 1 Quote
