Tried tightening it?

Forgot to mention, There is a lock mounting plate on ( which I took off for the photo), so it shouldn't have moved.

Yes, tried to tighten it, it couldn't move tho. I did not want to apply too much force.

Loosen off the pipe nut on top first then tighten the injector.

It won't tighten while the pipe nut is still holding it more or less in the same place.

Should be about as tight as you put in a spark plug. Snug but not super tight.

So K-trips is right, the bolt was very lose, I lost lot of fuel because of that.

I tightened up to the verge of snapping it, it helped but still leaks abit.

Next step is change out the washer? any recommended suppliers?

Where are ya?

Also be very careful when pulling the injector out that you are actually undoing the entire injector and not just unscrewing the top half from the bottom half of the injector. (they are a serviceable item)

If you separate them then it is a specialist job to rebuild them - very high spring pressures and set up with shims - not a back yard job at all.

They come apart like this - you DO NOT want to do this.

I am in CHCH

I will follow this thread, what do you think?

The only question is I don't know how he actually got the injector out? no undo any threads?

Looks like the injectors are different from standard Bosch type that thread into the block and are instead held in place with the clamp and are sealed with copper washers so it probably just needs new washers then.

Follow that thread and be careful when pulling them out that you don't drop them. Looks very informative and well written.

They don't screw in. They are held down. Best to try and get it out with the engine warm. Just use a spanner on tge flats if it to work it back and forth and the pull it out. It will take a bit of effort
