Glow plug problems

So yesterday I went to go out in my carina. Turned it on, let it glow as usual, then went to start it and got nothing but a whole lot of noise from the relay. Took it apart, gave the contacts a clean and tried again. The relay is switching really quickly, then slows down and stops like all together.

The inside of the relay looks OK, doesn't smell like it's burnt out, but haven't checked it yet.

Would it be the relay? Or a short sone where else? Proving to be very difficult to find a replacement

A "TIKTIKTIKTIKTIKTIK" sound when attempting to crank is usually the starter solenoid not getting enough juice to fully engage, meaning either flat / stuffed battery or crappy electrical connection from batt to starter or crappy earth.
