KKtrips
Jesus that is mint. Please do not cut up door cards for speakers with the stealth sounds install. Those customwood boxes for 6x9's facing forward fit pretty decently under the front seat of a lot of cars and provide really good sound. Looking forward to some progression. anglia4
Nah we won't but cutting up anything. Its got one of those trays under the dash, so some small speaker boxes and stereo will get tucked away under there, same on the parcel tray at the back.
Brock-Lee
^what KK said. Also slam as far as you can without cutting any body stuff. I like.
anglia4
Any ideas on the petrol smell problem we are having?
xygtho
Hi, was having a think about your petrol smell. It could be that you need a vented petrol cap? On a Anglia you need a vented cap - its a non locking type with a small hole in it - could this also apply to your Tina? As you've replaced the breather, my only other guess is a small leak / split / pin hole which could be the source of the smell. Good luck
anglia4
Good idea but I don't think it needs a vented cap, the cortina has a small vent line that runs from the filler tube out under the floor.
Valiant
You might have to pull the tank out and see what is going on. Could be a pin hole in the top of the tank etc etc. Cool looking car!
anglia4
Hmmm could be. What's the best way to find a pin hole in it?
Valiant
Take it to the radiator shop. I think they bung the filler and put a bit of pressure in them.
anglia4
Found some damp patches around the edges of the tank so I've whipped it out and will take it to the shop tomorrow for repair. Cheers Pete

anglia4
Have dropped it at the Radiator shop, hopefully when I get it back it will be fixed. Problem solved. Next. I've just taken apart the heater to suss out which part is seized and stopping you from turning the heat off. Turns out most of it... The heater control valve is very stiff, so I'm about to go and flood it with CRC and try and free it up as I can't actually get it off or apart without fucking it completely. But the cable is seized solid. Does anybody know if there is anywhere you can get new oldschool push-pull type heater cables? It has a hook at one end and is straight at the other. anglia4
Never mind, valve seems to be freeing up and I've ordered a choke cable from part master to try and modify into a heater cable
