Snoozin
I think a set of 13" Revolutions with a hearty slam and a small tyre would look perfect, btw.
Rookie
Why has no one suggested 17" Secktas?
shaneo
will go for 13" and lower the car then...(Y) but what i ment is some thing like this -http://i.imgur.com/Xoowu.jpg This is two days late car send him a Pm he should be able to help you out . I sure he has flares under that paint I tried these but they don't fit on the rear with flaring the guards I had 185/60/13 tyres on http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/wheels-tyres/alloy-wheels/auction-600465954.htm I ended up going with 7 inch in the same wheel as the off set is better and I can drive my car as hard as I want and no wheel rub I'm also 2" lowered all round. You could try these guys as they are local for your wheels http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/wheels-tyres/alloy-wheels/auction-599484312.htm 13" look best on Escorts
two_days_late
Hey mate, yea that's my car. Has had pretty serious guard modification, no way they were going to fit under the standard guards even with rolling them. They are 15x8s. That photo is running standard height at the back, looks a lot nicer and less tractor spec lowered. 15"s aren't to everyones taste but I like them when it's at the proper ride height. If you have a look at my build thread there's a bunch of photos of the guard modification. Cheers Matt
BDA780
Not the greatest pic but here is two different styles on one car. Revolution fronts and Alley Cat wires At the end of the day its all up to you. Some 15's can look good, but they ain't minilite spokes.

chamath
They are just standard arches by the looks of them dude are sure ? then great....but im pretty sure they are small once like that white escort mk2 i posted above in this threat...not the big arches like in rally cars
J-W-G
Just buy what you personally prefer then try them out. Usually any 4x108 rim, 13-15x7 with an offset close to zero will be fine. We can only say so much till you actually purchase a good set of wheels and try them out.
chamath
this is standard with 15x7
two_days_late
If you don't mind spending the time or paying to modify the guards, then I'd find the wheels you like and then modify the guards as required to suit them. You might get away with them standard, or rolling/pumping them. If you need to go bigger there are tons of sizes of universal flares around on TradeMe. pusherman
mini lites and superlights seem to be the go to wheels for escorts. personaly dont like them less than 9-10wide. find some thing a little less common if you want to stand out. like the orange mk2 ESCORTD that has bbs wheels, or ronal turbos, ive had 2 sets of 5 spoke 15s and they look very good and get lots of comments
