Hi SR Rolla

Im currently restoring a 74 GTO as well and wondered if you have any carb parts as the base of one of mine where a vacuum hose connects to the nipple has broken off? If not do you know of any replacement carb options? Cheers

Don’t put that scody sunroof back in. Wait a bit longer save some pingers and get the hole filled in properly. The guy doing my GT Cortina just did one on a Mk 2 Escort Sport come up mint

Good luck with the wof. It's certainly looking great! I bet you can't wait to go for a drive on a hot day with all the windows down listening to the music from the carbs.

Looking good with the stripe. What do you want to do with the suspension? Just lower it a bit, replace bushings and shocks or are you wanting to go it further?

Hey man, nice Colt.

Check the progression holes on your Weber’s as mine has that similar stutter when starting off. Apparently it’s caused by a lack of fuel as the throttle butterfly hasn’t moved past the progression hole.

Yeah, a bit more than that I reckon @dwlee – the ideal plan is: reset the leaves, then fine tune height in the rear with blocks (looks like you can't actually take much out of the leaves as they are a pretty shallow curve as it is). Then get coilover struts made up for the front. And yeah, replace all the bushes and so on at the same time too.

I replaced front springs and shortened my shocks then reset rear leaves, no blocks from memory. Can take some photos of stance and see if it is to your liking then provide details?

The standard leaf springs as pretty soft and if you have them reset you may need to add another leaf. I had to do this with the 76 and I'm likely to do it again with the 75. I'm using early land cruiser (Fj40) shocks in the rear.
