camo_78 Posted April 29, 2013 Share Posted April 29, 2013 IMO keep the flares as bolt ons boss,waaaaay easier to repair if someone rubs something on them(shopping trolleys in the case of my mk5 sport).have you found you need to slightly notch them at the bottom to clear the doors??im running foxton/aerotech ones on the mk5 and ive had to notch them on the bottom as well as smooth them down to match the height of the sheetmetal where it folds into the door shut Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Avenga Posted May 3, 2013 Share Posted May 3, 2013 I love the bolt on flares. Always liked MK3's, love the rear body lines of the MK3. With my flares I had to bolt them to the rear door. Yea im not too fussed now tho, i got more done tonight then gave it a quick spray with some primer and it looks allgood when the flares and panels around it are the same colour. Haha yea i feel your pain, has happened to me way to much. Hey have you done anything with your exhaust? mines got 2" piping all the way but ive only got one bullet muffler mid way and a small bullet right at the end, sounds like someones gutted a muffler and welded it in.
