IMO keep the flares as bolt ons boss, waaaaay easier to repair if someone rubs something on them(shopping trolleys in the case of my mk5 sport).have you found you need to slightly notch them at the bottom to clear the doors??im running foxton/aerotech ones on the mk5 and ive had to notch them on the bottom as well as smooth them down to match the height of the sheetmetal where it folds into the door shut :)

Yea thats a good point man, im only worried about the swage line around the guard not matching the line of the arches tho.

I havent trimmed anything on them yet, their set up for a ke30 and seem to fit pretty well without the need for a trim

I love the bolt on flares. Always liked MK3's, love the rear body lines of the MK3.

With my flares I had to bolt them to the rear door. I cut the body of mine all the way up to the bottom of the door then lowered the car to suit.

Yea im not too fussed now tho, i got more done tonight then gave it a quick spray with some primer and it looks allgood when the flares and panels around it are the same colour. Wanting to paint it a dark gun metal grey, i know it gets done quite a bit but ive always wanted to paint it that colour.

nice project,  that cosworth engine would be mean for this shell haha... not too shabby at all chap

Ive been telling myself the same, and letting him know that if he ever crashes it i know a good place to store the motor haha

Cheers Avenga, you did a really good job on those flares.

looking good captain, ive only just got back into the sport after loosing motivation for a while :(

Cheers man.

Haha yea i feel your pain, has happened to me way to much.

Hey have you done anything with your exhaust? mines got 2" piping all the way but ive only got one bullet muffler mid way and a small bullet right at the end, sounds like someones gutted a muffler and welded it in. Im thinking of putting a muffler in midway (bout 400mm long) and just replacing the end bullet with a new one. any thoughts?
