M Night Shamalayan
I've got 14x6 +15 wheels, and I'm gonna run a 25mm adaptor for 4x100 to 4x114.3... making it -10 offset, but they should still fit in the guards better than 15x8 +0 would
Furai
II want to run mine with no rolling or rubbing and stock guard. Thats why I went 14-6J +21, What kind of wheels did you get?
M Night Shamalayan
Yeah should just need a bit of rolling, waiting for adaptors to arrive. Bought Hart Racing Takechi Projects by Hayashi. Long winded name much? Haha. Bought them right here off OS. Just gonna give the lips a bit of a polish, but they're in fairly mint condish. Can't wait to get adaptors sussed to get them fitted. Will look shit until its lowered tho. Haha.
Furai
Im interested to see how it will look, my Wats and Bilsteins are due the end of the month.
Furai
So I installed my Bilsteins and Tein springs on the front, They say to install shocks in pairs but all of them were totally trashed. Push the shaft down and 5mins later it gets to the top. So the back hasnt been done yet but I love where the front sits. Fair bit of rake :hello kitty: Container for my wheels has arrived so hopefully Ill get them before the Auck meet. Torsen has also arrived but I wont install yet. My rear Bilsteins are supposed to arrive this week to.
Furai
Sooo had a really nice cruise today. Went to pick up my Watanabes up north from the place that was unpacking the container from Japan. Used about 10L to do 185Km which I was really happy with! Thats about 5.6L per 100Km which is really impressive, I guess thats thanks to just smooth driving and not trying to be on the speed limit the whole time. Yeah she needs a wash after driving on dirty roads. They sit 20mm further out than the old wheels, It doesnt look much but its that suttle change that makes it perfect in my eyes. Another thing I got from Japan were some original V Special floor mats. They are in really good condition and feel great, they even included the stop to keep the mats from slipping. Hopefully by the end of this week my Suspension will be in and I can sort out the rake.

Furai
So I put my Shocks and Springs in last night and went out to Gymkhana today. The rear I tried to put 10mm lower but the spring perch hit the driveshaft. So the first few runs I had horrible push at the front and it made it real hard to get a tight line. I then dropped the tyre pressure at the front a bit to compensate and that helped but Im not happy with the Tein rates. They dont have enough difference in rate for me so I am going to up the rates a bit. The Trampio tyres worked great but now my clutch is toasted, was to be expected though with 198KM on the clock. From the side you can see the back sits to high and looks a little odd. There was some real cool cars there on the day this N2 TRD AE86(Replica?) was screaming down the straight on the full track. That and one of the new 86's doing Gymkhana Cool Civic and X81 Chaser. Even after all that though I managed to get it sorted and win the Gymkhana which Im stoked about! Hopefully I can get the diff, clutch and suspension sorted before the next one.
Furai
So I got my diff in and tested, its an NA8 Torsen and works amazing! Bought a new clutch to fit as well, a Carbon-Kevlar one. Heres the video, I was having heaps of fun. -VawySj7g80 Decided my springs are to soft though and bought these, 8Kg for the front and 6Kg for the back. Having my Bilsteins revalved and perches turned down to accept 70ID Springs. Cant wait to see how she handles. Will probably be the last bit of money I spend on my car for quite some time as Im going to uni next year and dont want debt. But I will still go to Gymkhana and Drift days! Furai
In sky high news, I fitted my rear springs. On the way to get the perches turned down I went along Lonely track with my old springs and smashed so hard my head hit the roof(3Kg). Once I fitted the new springs I went back along the same road preparing for serious injuries and surprisgnly the ride was firm but smooth! Just goes to show the correct valving with the spring makes a huge difference. But she sits real high all round now... But I have figured out how to lower her and it will be done in due time. Hopefully I can find some NB tophats soon.
