Furai
Cheers man I am having fun with her! Had another drift day, was good fun and nice and quiet. Lots of guys to drift with and tandem. I had a bit of a tap while tandeming my mate so I have started fixing her up. We had a few antics while there, had a bit of a drag race and let a friend drive my car. He showed just how easy it is to drive and how good he is! I also did a wall scrape with the front end which was rather entertaining but left her a bit banged up. You can see the dent and marks in the door from the wheel of my mates car and the front end damage. Heres the video I got with some good tandems and both hits at the start for you impatient people People giving funny expressions Also got this video a friend made from the day before this one! More photos Started pulling her apart to do some fixing up, be more on this later once I get the parts Ive ordered(Rear Garnish, front indicator, rear tail light, new metal bumper support) So another drift day this weekend and then we will hopefully have her looking quite nice all painted up. On another note the primer I got is flat green. Hmmmmm Yuuutaaaa

Furai
First drift day of the new Year! I was struggling to link the main 2 coners of the track, speed couldnt be held to hold the drift. I did try hard though with good speed. Entry speed increased but drift still couldnt be held. Roadsters friend rain then arrived to help! I then chased hard like my hero Yuuta Onodera! (^ 0 ^ )/ Battles with many D1 cars! Here is a video, the quality is poor because of the rain.
Furai
Went and hammered my poor car some more, great fun though. Had my tandem buddy Joe there for some fun Heres his video And this is mine Got a couple new dents but fixed them up easy Shes looking pretty hardcore but is now road legal and no drift days until Feb so the weekends will be spent tidying her up
Furai
Painted up the rear parcel shelf panels, removed the carpet, removed AC and it made a bigger difference than the 14 Degree timing mod. 20Kg lighter and I still have a few bits to remove yet Pre rust treatment All painted Looks a little less crowded without the AC pump Felt like taking some photos
Furai
Went to a trackday on Thursday, had a good bit of fun. Realised that Yoko A drives are good but no where near good enough for track. So I had to put my S Drives back on to get some grip. The A drives snapped real fast Haha Got a short video of me pushing fairly hard
Furai
Soo I went drifting for the first time in about a month on the full Hampton downs track on Valentines day, was awesome fun. Had a mix of dry and a bit wet at times so it was quite hard at times. But I was making sure to use all the track Sometimes a little too much I had my Dampers cranked to full Yuuta to compensate for the soft sidewalls of the Yoko A Drives on the back. Heres the little video I have some new springs coming so I can get a bit more grip, and my Longchamps/Watanabe set should show up soon hopefully too
Furai
Just had someone post up some short clips of my car from the outside(Cheers Gilbert!!) Driving around someone who spun And making it over the hill, Ill admit it was mildly moist....
Furai
So I got my Longchamps and 7J Watanabes, loving the Longchamps. Longchamps 6.5J+21 Front tyres are 175/65 Yoko Bluearth and rear 185/60 Trampios Fronts are getting an extra inch on the outside lip, Rears are pretty good.
Brennan
Dumb question, should the wider tyres not be on the front? also love what you are doing with this. Almost makes me want to go out and buy one.
Furai
Cheers Man! I want some ITBs like yours though I just slapped them on with the tyres they came with on the Longchamps but changed the rear ones because they looked crap but I will run 185/60 all round

Mitch.W
love this car! really shows you don't need a flash/expensive/powerful car to have fun and go drifting. this this is essentially standard? lowering, wheels, and exhaust?
Furai
Cheers man, you dont need anything but an LSD to get drifting. As I have started Improving I have added more to her. Coilovers, Factory Torsen LSD, Rollbar, Bucket seat, more lock, 6 Speed, headers but stock catback(New one is coming). 6 Speed made the biggest difference as the normal gearing is terrible. Mitch.W
Yeah man you pedal this thing so good. such a simple setup. Yeah 6 speed would be sweet closer raitos so you have more selection to keep the revs up, i'm looking at slapping a car together but its hard down here the closet track that hold drift meets is Taupo and thats still hardly ever haha. Furai
Cheers man still tweaking to get more out of it, might be getting a 2-Way soon so no more unstability on deceleration. Yeah 6 speed keeps it closer to the sweet spot, Taupos organising more and more, what about Manfield? Is slipway coming back?
Mitch.W
oh choice! Yeah Taupo hold the odd event every couple of months, i can't see Slipway ever coming back due to noise and such. Apparently it scared the birds or something? hah If someone made something like that setup down here again they would make a killing!
ryanfels
Im surprised that you have been using a torsen! I thought you would have changed that yonks ago!
Furai
We need more beginer friendly lower speed drift tracks! The Torsen has been great but I just want to get more stability off throttle I played around with some of my wheels trying to be 90s
