Ogre
Seriosly? You tried a search man, theres bucket loads of shit on here, i think i have aswered like 5 posts exactly the same as this over the years. There is nothing listed for EX lancers, i think you may find that the listings are for the older LA and LB lancers.I could be wrong tho. http://www.oldschool.co.nz/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=22848&hilit=EX+lancer+springs http://www.oldschool.co.nz/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=17896&hilit=EX+lancer+springs

Truenotch
This is a technical question, so I've moved it to the Tech section. DIY coilovers is the best way to go in my opinion.

Ogre
best thing to do is use starion struts for the front and starion bottom arms as that gives you a big brake upgrade at the same time or if you can find them, EX GSR struts which have even better brakes.GSR brakes will bolt onto the standard EX struts, but starion dont.1st gen mirage shocks bolt into the rear and are mega short, so great for keeping rear springs captive. As for springs, your just better off getting some made as then they will be exactly what you want.I found the rear springs from a vn commodore are great in the front when shortened with a grinder... karlb
well today i put my 13x7 hotwires on to see what it looks like with them on. Man the front looks like it wants to take off its that bloody high!! i called suspension tech in east takmaki to see what i could do and prices and i will not be going there!! quoted 850+gst each for the front!!!! its like iv got grind the platform off and bring it down about 50mm and then get low springs with shortening the shocks. now is that possible?? also it has huge positive camber. the rear isnt to bad, just the front mainly.i will try and load some photos up

karlb
its all standard. its a gsl 1600.
Ogre
its either got different springs or your shocks are seized and holding the car up.What are the top hats like?Ive only ever seen an EX like that when its got sigma springs in it or no engine
karlb
top hats seem fine. shocks seem ok as they rebound.and the apparently the springs are standard. hmmmmm now i seemed puzzled lol.

OSM Garage
I agree with caboon's comment. I had put Sigma struts in to a lancer years ago and it looked like that. Which steering knuckle does it have? 2 bolt or 3 bolt?
karlb
its 3 bolt knuckles.
