KKtrips
Make sure 4bbl is a Barry Grant - 650cfm - double pumper.. TH700 is the dumbest idea ever - thats 4 speeds (ie 2 too many) - roll powerglide erryday bish.. HEI's are yuck - I'ld roll glowplugs instead.. Spencer
haha a 650 DP would drown a 1UZ, but I see your point on the glide, and yea hei is yuck
KKtrips
would not drown if you had a 4/71 stuck on top
Spencer
So theres a 1UZ crown half cut at an importers up the road from where I'll be staying, so I'll snap that up when I get there and see what happens!
Mike-e
1uz + 3T rocker covers? if you could shrink 2tg ones I reckon those would also look lush
Spencer
Haha I don't think any of those engines will be narrow enough. I'll make it look sweet with a high rise manifold and carb, removed dizzy's and open cam belt, possibly make up some sweet spark plug covers etc. With a crown half cut the conversions pretty simple, V series will require heaps of shit to be done
Jase
glide might be hard to get but a turbo350 or 400 can still be modded to hell, transbrake etc etc. should price up putting it on lpg, gas research do some mean kits over there
Mike-e
T350/400 is a rather large lump, unsure how big 40 series tunnel is but if its designed for a W/T series box to fit in there chopping shit may be a requirement
Spencer
Yea I'm gong to run the factory gearbox with a DIY shift controller, Could go to a TH box to remove all electronics but its cheaper by far to use a controller than buy the adapter setup. 40 series tunnel needs a bash to fit the A340E comfortably Petrol is only $1.10 over there so I'm not to keen to go gas, and there is no where to hide the cylinder, I don't want it eating up sleeping space in the back. Testament
2x IDF's or DNCFs on an open plane manifold maybe. or even 1x 50IDA might work actually. otherwise holley 450bbl would probably do it or a 600 with small chokes fitted.
Spencer
The off the shelf item is a 4bbl manifold made by Harcourts from chch, they sell their rover stuff all over the world. looks like the pic on the previous page, or this and make my rocker covers look something like this And run no dizzy's and front covers like this Should look abit better than your usual yawn spec UZ, Anyway got to pick the thing up first, but that half-cut is as good as mine, going to chuck a deposit on it I think, can always sell it later if things turn to shit.
