nismo.capri
Did the cam bearings tonight with my new tool a guy at work made for me. It has 3 different sized forms for each bearing. Bolting it up pulls the old bearing out or the new bearing in. And it's in Cam fitted

nismo.capri
I'm now on leave so the 2L is going in. Here's the last pic of the mighty 1100cc. Dare I say it, it was a good engine hellishly reliable it never missed a beat.... shame that my mums sewing machine has more power Out it comes 40 years of crud, there was some real nasty goo in the battery tray it was like wind screen sealent After Dave (Horse25) brought over the water blaster and we gave it a good scrub I'm getting sick of sanding About to get back in to the sanding

nismo.capri
Today is the last day of my holiday and I got close but I don't think it will be drivable today. Engine is in, ECU is wired and tested just need to mount fuel pump, steel fuel lines and the exhaust then I can fire it up! ....hopefully that will happen in a few hours! Tonight is make a wee bit of tunnel clearance with the prybar, it's just touching in 1 spot in the tunnel.
nismo.capri
It's alive! I had told the guys last week there would be some fuck ups and as long as they aren't major I'd be happy. Well I had the fuel pump in backwards, yeah I know but in my defense there is no flow marking on it and forgot to tighten the water pump pulley so it sounded like the rockers weren't getting any oil which was a bit of a poo the pants moment. The tappets need doing hot as it's a bit noisy but it's reving clean and sounding good. So now I need to fit the brake master/booster, drive shaft, pedal box, clutch brake and acclerator cables and it's ready to roll

nick_m
260fps is fast? Did you mean 360fps A stock sr20ve port is 250-260fps and it is HUUUUGE I swear you could nearly fist the fucker (OK slight exageration but its pretty big!) I've heard most most porters aim for 300 minimum 340 max. Thats for 4v stuff. Are there different rules for 2v?
nick_m
What ecu are you using to run the show there champ, I might have missed it earlier in the thread

nick_m
I don't doubt that, they are very nice looking ports. Can't sneeze at 180 odd cfm from 2v either. Was just querying whether 260 was a typo and/or what sort of velocities most guys aim for out of 2v heads?
