nismo.capri
Here's my new cam, it's a 1 off and has been designed for my engine. It's 295° duration, 12.1mm of lift and because of the high velocity of my small ports it closes the inlet later than usual. Because of the high lift the base circle is smaller so I was worried that I'd need lash caps for the valves but thankfully everything worked well. Here's a $200 head gasket... it's supposed to be reuseable. At least the epoxy is hanging on =-) I didn't get much done yesterday as I got home 4am Sunday morning from RT's 30th and was a bit hung over. All I have left to do is bolt up the exhaust manifold, connect up the inlet manifold, do the cam timing, and put some water in it.
nismo.capri
It lives! It loves to rev and has a nice lumpy idle that said it also needs tuning pulls strong all the way to the rev limiter. Now I need to book another trip to the dyno =-)

nismo.capri
Spent a few hours on the dyno yesterday. 19.5% increase with the angry cam (It has 295° Duration and 12mm of lift.) This is the old torquey cam vs the angry cam. Found the sweet spot with the cam timing by trial and error, this setup it liked the first step of retard it's about 2° I think. I'm pretty pleased with my road tuning as I was only 5% down from the dyno and because the wide band O2 died on me this was tuned with a narrow band. The 2 barrel is giving 1 inHg pressure drop at full noise so I might look in to fitting bigger throttle plates. The big difference between the 2 cams is obviously where the power kicks in. More power isn't always good if you are sacrificing down low torque I really like both cams, the torquey cam was just instant response it didn't matter what gear you were in either I could take off in 3rd with a tiny bit of clutch slip ans it even acclerated well in 5th at low revs. On the other hand the angry cam is lots of fun at the top and it sounds great. Big thanks again to PK at Kenelly Cams! http://www.kennellycams.com/
