It likely won't be an easy conversion, but my little Chevette axle has handled something around 170hp for quite a while. No silly business, but it does see the track and drag strip from time to time. Would be funny to "upgrade" to a Chevette diff

i've heard 100 ponies often quoted. Guess it depends on style. Check out retro sides forum as a few on there have broken them. Or viva club forum. Just keep a look out for an 1800 axle. The 2300 ones are really high geared i think.

forgot to say thanks mate for the xflow converstion parts.

just a few qustions

1. did you just use the viva clutch cable?

2.did you use the viva speedo cable?

cheers

yeah i used viva clutch cable but had to add some spacers between fork end and nuts on threaded shaft bit of cable as there was too much slack but worked fine.

Speedo cable I bodged in place ... and I mean a true proper bodge- with epoxy- as I couldnt find a circlip the right size at the time.

Melt the end off a escort speedo cable and re-melt it onto viva speedo cable.

but it will still be getting a supercharger lol

all good man, I should be spending my money on something properly decent (no offence) haha

hopefully you get what you're asking

spend your money on a better motor man as the one im selling is

just so slow  i would hate to see what a standard one is like.

feel free to come take mine for a drive, haha fuck its slow. it sorta feels ok when you give it the boot and there are no cars around cause it makes a bit of noise. but when you are in traffic, you realise that all the other cars are going just as fast as you, even with the boot down haha

looks good man! should haul ass when its done haha

quick question, what are you doing with the original exhaust? If you arent using it I could be keen to buy it off you, just the front section. Mines nearly collapsed between the manifold and where it merges from 2 to 1. (im assuming they are similar between the viva and chevette) cheers man
