ryanfels
Man this piece of crap is starting to piss me off! Thursday morning it took forever to start, it turned over fine, just didnt want to start. Thought nothing of it as it was the coldest morning yet and just figured it was that. Thursday afternoon as i left work, it did the same. Friday morning it starts fine which i thought was sweet till i started driving, it sounded like it was running on 5 cylinders, you could smell how rich it was running and it was stalling whenever you stopped. So i turned around and came home. Today it was doing the same. I tried a spare AFM, made it worse. Temp sensor is all off 3 months old. I replaced all the spark plugs with new 1s, it ran fine for a minute and then which shit again as the plugs fell up. So whats wrong and how do i fix it? peteretep
it ran fine for a minute and then which shit again as the plugs fell up. why did the plugs foul up so quick? they just went sooty black and stopped being effective? could it be not enough energy at the plugs? ryanfels
To be honest, i never pulled the new plugs out to check how fouled they were. Im just assuming they did as it dropped a cylinder and ran just the same as it did when the old plugs fouled up
Hemi
never ever assume mate im sure these ecu have a self diagnostic feature?? have you changed anything at all in the last month??
Truenotch
Whats the oil like? And do you do much out of town driving? The oil could just be really thin, then get past your rings and poo up the plugs. My bet would be to check for air leaks though. Does it only run shit when cold?

ryanfels
never ever assume mate im sure these ecu have a self diagnostic feature?? have you changed anything at all in the last month?? These engines dont have a diagnostic box if thats what you mean. Whats the oil like? And do you do much out of town driving? I just toped up the oil with some cheap repco stuff about a week ago is it was low/empty. I only really drive it to work which is about half 50km zone, half motorway. Its a good 1 1/2hrs a day though.

Crownin_Round
Ive had the same thing, i disconnected the cold start injector and that made it work fine again. But could be something completly different in your case.
