peteretep
ucould use the standard pump to run the carbs, im going to run an electric one(same pressure) just to have more control of my car
CaMpylobacter
JUST ROCK A REGULATOR & RETURN LINE SHOULD BE SWEET OR KAWASAKI FUEL PUMP IF THE PARTICULAR BIKE HAS ONE. LIKELY GRAVITY FED IF IT'S AN OLDER BIKE THAT THEY'RE FROM.
peteretep
as far as I can tell, bikes that run carbs with standard bike pumps, dont have return lines, but i could easily be wrong

CaMpylobacter
WITHOUT A REGULATOR YOU'LL LIKELY POP THE FLOAT VALVES OUT. IT'LL FLOOD THE BEJESUS OUT OF THE, ANYWHO. YOU CAN RUN A RUTURN LINE, PETE. MAKE IT MORE CONSISTANT. RETURN LINE WOULD COME FROM THE BLEED OFF OF THE REGULATOR. FROM WHAT I'VE SEEN REGULATORS JUST CONSTANTLY LET PRESSURE BUILD WITHOUT BEING HOOKED TO A RETURN
Guest sexychevette
what did u pay for these if u dont mind me asking?
Testament
I would run an electric pump + regulator, it's not like they are expensive. if your real skint there are tons at pick a part for $20, check the '80s euros they have the roller cell bosch pumps pretty often which are way more grunty than you would need, some are good for 200-300kW. lowlancer
EVERY SINGLE TIME I'VE SEEN BIKE CARBS USED, THEY USED AN ELECTRIC PUMP

eke_zetec_RWD
i wud try this b4 you buy anything... use standard pump, in the feed line frompump to carb place a tee joiner, off the tee tun a hose back to the pipe just before the pump (ie between the pump and tank) and within this line place a restricter with a bout a 2mm hole. make sence? sentra
it will work fine regulated, but when your fucking around trying to get it running sweet at some point youl have some suspision about the pump which will later turn out to be not a problem but you will have allready put an electric one in. so seeing as you will swap it out anyway, do it now, and then your fuel bowels will be filled for you the first time you goto start it too. fuck in the half an hour it took to type that 50 other cunts replyed.

peteretep
suzukis from 1982 didnt have pumps, the bowls have enough fuel in them to last for quite a while, so I can see that a fuel pump wouldnt be needed unless its a super bike or something

peteretep
same thing as a regulator, just a spring set to a certain pressure that will vent to atmosphere when/if the pressure gets too much
