zep
teh problem there is that coupes usually have lower roof lines than sedans or 4x4s so the seat will hit teh roof. Thought about doing it with my car a while back but its hard enough to get the seat in there, let alone having room for it to swing foward. Just harden up and go 2 seater. mikuni
No chance of setting up a flipping mechnasim for the one piece for access to rear seats? Double hinged action FTW. AKA 1st gen pajero. check one out. hard out man. I was going to use one out of a suzuki sj41* Apparantly they are more of a lift and forward action than a straight tild forward so you should be able to get a good amount of movement there. You can't beat having fixed back buckets I reckon.

mikuni
rofls, yeah something like that aye Mean you don't run into problems with needing it to rotate the full motion, which would require additional head rest clearance. or something.. Mr Revhead
i was under the impression it had to be registered as a 2 seater, not certed as one.
thminiman
mini/vw seats are fixed back, but they dont have a rear mount to the body, the fron mount is like a hinge so the whole seat tilts forwards. safe as

Mr Revhead
no, you cant. you must use factory rails (dont have to be from that car) and stock locating points. alter those and you need a cert.
treggo
but could i get away with it at wof time?

Requiemk
Theres no way your going to come back to get your car and hes going to say "well i took your seats off the rails just cause i thought it would be funny and i see you used different mounting holes"
treggo
the way it is in my car and for the mx5 seats i would actually have to mod the fucking rails themselves.
