HUNTD
Does anyone know weither mark 1 and mark 2 hunter driveshafts would be the same? Would it just be the diff end if anything is going to be different? Otherwise how hard would it be to find something to match up that doesnt resemble a log. im sure my car lost 500kgs just by losing it haha

Ned
you could try and google cars with the same length drive shaft and then swap the ends over... may be easier said then done though
Gaz
you could try and google cars with the same length drive shaft and then swap the ends over... may be easier said then done though I have a hilman driveshaft. Toucan
Auto escort? if its true that there the same! Yea look into this, I remember reading on Kris's site long ago that a hilman driveshaft can be used when converting a scrot to 5speed, or you can use a auto scrot one, so theoratically an auto scrot one will fit the hunter??? HUNTD
Hmmm now i wonder which one weighs the least... I think i mite stick with a hillman one, When the rain stops il get out and take off my parts car one and just make sure they are the same. RT
you want a good strong d/shaft anyway... for when you boost up your engine.
HUNTD
hmm but its not the driveshaft thats the problem...its the lack of bolts holding it on. It had lost one, and i noticed a bit of oil at work, thought il check it out when i get home.... half way home and bam i see a flying tree trunk out the back of my car... The 3 other bolts had snapped/come off Hmmm decisions...
CaMpylobacter
fuck you're lucky it didn't smoke anything hardcore. use new bolts, split washers, and nyloc nuts to e sure it's on there securely - proly done up loosely, weak girl etc
